Soldotna, Alaska
The Kenai River Estate Guest House is a stylish home that accommodates up to four adults. The guest house is located in the middle of the Kenai River Estate property and, when combined with the main house (listing #1244638), can accommodate up to 12 adults. The property is only minutes away from all that Soldotna has to offer and serves as a great launching point for all Kenai Peninsula activities.
The living quarters are located on the second floor of the guest house. The first bedroom has a king-sized bed. The second bedroom has two XL massage adjustable single beds. Both bedrooms have blackout blinds to keep the Alaskan midnight sun from keeping you awake at night (if you've been to Alaska before in the summer you know how important these are to getting a good night's sleep). The bathroom has a single vanity and walk-in shower and is finished with class and style. Complimentary toiletry products including tissue and towels are provided.
The great room on the first floor includes the living, entertainment, dining, kitchen and laundry areas. The living area includes a flat screen TV with Direct TV, a Bluetooth soundbar, and a DVD player. The entertainment area includes a shuffle board and dart board. The dining area seats four as does the island in the kitchen. The laundry area has a stacked washer and dryer and another sink to handle processing your catch. Outside the great room is a fire pit where guests can relax and enjoy the great outdoors around a fire.
Access to the river is on the left side of the main house. The eddy on our riverfront is a well-know fishing hole for all kinds of salmon, Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden. Our eddy is a resting spot for all kinds of fish as they journey up the river. So if the fish are running, they'll be resting in our eddy and jumping on your hook!
If you are looking to explore the Kenai area or just wanting to kick back, relax and enjoy life on the river, the Kenai River Estate Guest House is the perfect base camp for your Alasakan adventure!

We rented this property along with the main house for 7 adults and 5 children in July 2022. This property is Amazing and Tyler the property manager is terrific. These houses have everything you need for large groups and Tyler is very easy to communicate with and helpful. The fishing dock on the Kenia is wonderful and fun for all. The property is in a perfect location, close to town and right on the river.
Short title says it all. Comfy beds. whole family had fun playing shuffleboard.
Place was good. Tyler was great. Had everything we needed to stay and relax for the week.
What a great find. Property and accommodations were clean, well maintained and very private. The property manager Tyler was super helpful and we loved the fire pit outside.
Great addition to the main house.
Our Alaska summer vacation was fantastic. The house was great. It was just as nice as the pictures shown. The owner was very professional and nice, as well as the property manager onsite. Look forward to coming back in a couple years.
Wow, this house is amazing! This was our first trip with our kids to Alaska and we had the BEST time. We were greeted by an unexpected welcome basket and you could tell immediately that the owners put a lot of care into making sure we felt welcome. The bunk house was clean, comfortable, and with endless entertainment (shuffleboard, dart board, board games, etc). Outdoors we had the best time fishing and hanging out by the fire - my kids caught lots of rainbow trout and whitefish. We couldn't fish for sockeye because of a shutdown from the Parks and Wildlife, but that didn't stop us from renting a boat and catching lots of silver on the Kenai and sockeye on the Kasilof. The caretaker, Tyler was more than generous taking our caught fish and prepping it for our trip home, which was golden considering we have no knowledge on how to clean and vacuum pack fish. Could not have been more pleased with our stay. This house deserves more than 5 stars! We'll be back!
We rented both the main house and guest house for a week of fishing . We make the trip every year around the third week of July to try and hit the peak of the incoming Reds .The ownership group that owns the property was aware that our main purpose was to come up and fish away from the crowded public areas.. The price was a little steeper than other properties that we had rented in the past but having private river access was worth it to our group. On the first day of our trip a few of the guys went down to the river to try their luck . Within an hour of fishing one the neighbors bordering our property approached my son who was on our property attempting to fish . The man was visibly upset and began questioning my son about our group. Did we rent the house to fish ? How many of you are there ? Do you know the owners ? My son did his best to answer as to not make the man any more upset .The neighbor began to threaten us with being arrested, that it was Illegal for us to be fishing here . He yelled at us that the covenant and restrictions in the development preclude VRBO type rentals that allow guest to fish .After his tirade the neighbor went back to his home . I immediately contacted the caretaker of the property and explained that we had paid top dollar for a peaceful fishing trip and that this was far from it .The caretaker said he would go talk to tneighbor and they had problems with those owners before. On his return from talking with the neighbors he said everything is ok now go and fish . Well the talk didn’t have affect we all had wanted . The next day the same neighbor and his neighbor came at our group on two more occasions each more aggressive than the last . They blasted the same speak , that we had no right to be fishing the river as vacation renters . That we were trespassing and would be arrested . If looking at the river the neighbor to the left said we will make it so uncomfortable for you that you wil never be back! This guy took it as mission to get us out no matter what he had to do to make it happen. I must clarify that at No time did any member of our group set foot on anyone’s property other than the one we had rented . By this time we had enough of this boorish behavior and tried to find a way to save our vacation and fishing trip . We decided to rent two boats in town and use them to find uncrowded public fishing areas. We stopped fishing the property and used the boats the remainder our trip. We paid for river access ?
5 star property with all the essentials to allow you the perfect private stay from novice to expert. On site fish processing and freezer storage, provided tackle and gear makes this a no brainer. Just buy your fishing license and away you go. Tyler can set you up and provide you with any activity referral you desire. The hiking is superb with 2 national preserves located minutes from the dwelling. 20 miles of trails are just around the corner, guides if you wish are across the street yet the private secluded retreat keeps you more then a river away from the hustle and bustle of prime soldotna fishing season. Grill, toast smores, cook in the chefs kitchen, sit by the fire place.. read a book or turn on Direct TV and watch your favorite program. Play a round of pool with your friends and shoot a game of darts..Its all there and brand new.
Our family really enjoyed our stay at Kenai River Estate. The guest house was spacious, upscale, well maintained, and comfortable. The garage was converted into a great room and we used the area to lounge and play games. The room added to the spaciousness of the home and allowed everyone to have their own space or be together. Other guest were utilizing the main house but the property was big enough so that we never felt the other group was in our space. Each house has its own outdoor area to include a fire pit. The area is absolutely beautiful and tranquil. There were a ton of trails around the property and beyond. At the time of our visit the King were not running past the house yet but we were able to easily book a private fishing tour that took us on an all day trip and were able to catch two large King Salmons. However, smaller salmon and trout were abundant in the river and we ate fish for dinner each night. There was a lot of wildlife in the area. In addition, we took a Glacier tour offered in the area and were able to see humpback whales, killer whales, seals, eagles, bears and so much more. The owners pay attention to detail and the the house is well stocked and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend the home to a friend and our family is looking forward to another visit.
