Isor's house is a splendid and welcoming residence surrounded by greenery, in harmony with nature.
Our house is located in the Campi district, Alto Salento, is located in the countryside of San Vito dei Normanni, a charming town of Norman origin.
A characteristic village in the Itria valley of about 20,000 inhabitants equipped with all services. The city was born around the 'Castello Dentice di Frasso', known for its square tower. The Castle, which over the centuries has been builtaround the tower, is a real treasure trove of history: the courtyards, the nineteenth-century stairways, the living rooms paved with Vietri ceramics, the frescoed ceilings, the hunting trophies, the stone fireplaces Lecce, retracing even with your eyes all the beauty of this ancient manor makes you look like a king! And, in fact, the King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele III, also stayed here, when he was in Brindisi in September 1943 !. This is where Virna Lisi's latest film 'Latin Lover' was filmed.
During your stay the only sounds you will hear will be from growers working in the olive groves; at night the rustle of owls and foxes.

It is 15 km from Ostuni, 50 km from Alberobello and the Caves of Castellana, 9 km from the wonderful Apulian coasts and the natural oasis of Torre Guaceto and 9 minutes from the Caribbean of Salento.
The accommodation is independent and has 4 beds,

Wooden veranda (74m)

We enjoyed a fabulous family holiday with our 2 young children here at this wonderful property in San Vito. The house is really well maintained, air-conditioned (that you really need with the beautiful Puglian sunshine!) and set in beautiful grounds. Our host Rosaria was fantastic and she couldn't have been more helpful. You are guaranteed a very warm welcome here. Despite the lack of a common language we got by easily with google translate. Rosaria lives only a couple of km's away and she was available for help and advice on what to do and where and any problems at the house whenever we needed. There is a great local bakery just a few minutes drive away that she recommended, a small supermarket close by and much larger one just 10 mins drive away. There were a couple of recommendations from local people that we didn't get to visit - but next time we will be sure to check these out - Locanda di Nonna Mena (a restaurant that is part of the slow food movement) and ExFadda (a cultural/arts centre with a great cafe and restaurant). There are great sandy beaches just 20 mins drive away at Specchiolla - these can get pretty busy but the water is crystal clear and great for kids and adults alike. Also we did a fabulous guided bike tour with MadEra bike tours. They are a 30 min drive away but it is well worth it, a 10km tour through the Coastal Dunes Park with stunning scenery and great local and historical knowledge. We would highly recommend a stay here in Puglia and this house is a real gem. Maria - thank you so much for being the perfect host!

Dear Maria Rosaria, We really enjoyed your warm welcome in a house where everything was as we wished for. Nice, comfortable interior and a kitchen very fully equipped. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised by the garden in which you worked every day. It smelled and looked fantastic and we were glad you gave us very useful information about our surroundings. Due to the hot weather we really needed your airco. You really have a nice place to stay at.

We spent a week in mid-October at this delightful well- maintained house. It has everything you could possibly want or need. The owners tend a lovely garden of fruit trees, shrubs , vegetables and flowers and provide several large patio areas from which to enjoy it. It is in a very quiet neighborhood just outside the town. Convenient to autostrada and local highways so the location was great for day trips. The grocery store and gas station are just 5 minutes from the house. Owner Maria Rosario was so kind and helpful and lives only 5 minutes away so anytime we had a question or small problem she was at the door to help. She took us to the local bakery , suggested a fantastic tiny local restaurant, then drove us to the parking area in town and walked us to the door of the restaurant. One day she arrived with roses from the garden. She speaks no English but we speak enough Italian to communicate. Her son, Vincenzo, speaks English very well. Don't hesitate to rent this house. It is a gem!
