This place is a sad dump! The pools are nice the location is great, but everything else is garbage. No toilet paper, chair arms were tore up, carpet is gross, hair dryer ripped off wall, carpet outside is tore up and basically walking on plywood, tv was all static and no internet. Might be the worst place I have ever stayed, which is saying a lot. Pretty sure the guy at counter that checked me in was high judging by his red eyes and lack of care about anything.
You can tell this property was once something special. Now it is run down and the common areas (restaurant/bar, outside seating) are all closed. It doesn't look like anything has been done to the property for a longtime.
The property was fine. The price was almost double what booking directly would have been and the description felt deceptive. I was looking for a cabin, if I knew it was a hotel before it was too late to cancel I would not have booked it, especially after finding out I was gouged with additional fees for nearly $200.
We stayed here 1 night on our way home to Seattle from Northern California. We had our 2 dogs with us ( both 50lbs)so this place was perfect. There is a nice city park just a 1/2 mile away, the park is in the Deschutes river and is well maintained. The only complaint was there were only like 8-10 channels available on the tv, not a big deal but was kinda odd.
I took another reviewers suggestion and followed up directly with the property to ensure we got a room that was advertised as on VRBO, as well as clean. Very prompt response and positive correspondence and we were ensured the room from the VRBO site and it overlooked the Deschutes River. I was with my husband and two sons (ages 15 & 11). Definitely enough room for all of us. Patio overlooking the river was AWESOME! So many birds to watch. It's also right down the road from a great park and hiking trails. There are restaurants you can walk to. Grocery store and yummy donut shop too right across the street. We stayed here for 5 nights and anything that we needed was addressed right away. A great place for the first part of our summer vacation in Oregon! Would recommend and would definitely return!
Checking in they tried to charge us for the pet fee again. Finally got to the room and it was nasty. Outdated, dog hair everywhere. Floors weren’t swept, shower was dirty and just really gross. Also wasn’t the room we booked at all. The pictures online are nothing like it was in picture. We booked a two queen bed room and received a room with one queen and nasty dog hair filled bedding. We ended up booking at the waypoint and it was so much nicer for about the same price. Still haven’t been refunded
The room was very different from the pictures and I assumed it would be the same. I will no longer assume that unless I ask the person connected to the booking.
I would use facilities again.
Dog friendly nice walking area sweet little living room with fireplace
