This cozy studio is surrounded by mountains on three sides, and the tranquility of the desert help to make this vacation get-away the perfect place to relax and enjoy.

Originally built as the showroom of the owner's pottery, we are happy that our guests can now enjoy this part of the space, with it's own separate entrance. The owner continues to work in the pottery on the other side of the studio, so be sure and ask for a tour!

Two large windows allow plenty of natural sunlightin, with a beautiful view of the Superstition Mountains.

The separate bathroom includes a large, custom tiled shower. The living area has a bookcase (lots of books, DVDs and games), loveseat, a chair, a smart TV and DVD player, closet, and a storage cabinet.

Outside, an outdoor patio and barbeque area are on the main level, and an awesome viewing deck above provides the perfect setting for a glass of wine at the end of the day.

There’s plenty to cook with including a convection oven, microwave oven, electric burner, skillet, pans, crock pot, single burner, coffee pot, teapot, and toaster. All cooking utensils, plates, glasses, etc., are included, as well as all linens, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, towels, dishes, and utensils.

We are located in the Arizona desert, closely surrounded by beautiful mountains, native plants, and occasional wildlife. We are within walking, hiking, and biking distance to Usery Mountain Park, which includes many walking and biking trails, a world class archery range and several picnic areas. Rio Salado Shooting range is 10 minutes away. The Superstition Mountains are 10 miles due east. The Salt River is nearby, home to the Salt River wild horses. There are also four lakes where you can enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, etc. Beautiful golf courses are also within a couple of miles.

The owners live on the same one-acre property in a separate residence, so if you need anything or have any questions, they are easily accessible.

This is a non-smoking, no partying, no pets property.

What a great, cozy studio in the desert away from the cities with trails just down the street and a short drive to the Desert Botanical Gardens, Camelback mountain, or Superstition mountains. The hosts have provided backpacks and water bottles so you can safely enjoy nearby excursions. I was there in February and got to relax and watch the sun rise over the Superstition mountains while sitting on the roof-top patio.

This little studio was perfect! It had all the amenities promised and then some. It was also very clean. We are sad we didn’t get to meet Joelyn, but Chip was a great host all on his own. The best parts were the rooftop patio and the proximity to so many outdoor activities.

This studio was absolutely the most lovely little place! The views can not be beat, even with the tropical storm all around us. Chip and Joelyn are just absolute joys to be around and make the best hosts! There are multiple hiking trails nearby and the patio can not be beat. Make sure to admire the gorgeous tile work in the shower!

This property was so relaxing and comfortable. We spent most of our time hiking and this studio had everything we needed when we weren't. The hosts (Chip and Joelyn) were friendly and available when needed but not intrusive. Loved our stay and would definitely stay again! Thanks for sharing your beautify studio, your art, your gardens and insights about Phoenix!

Absolutely wonderful. Evening sunsets and morning sunrises with coffee on the roof were wonderful. The outdoor activities in this area are plentiful. It’s a quick trip to the Salt River and to check out the wild horses. Weather was fantastic in April. Sunny skies, cooler mornings and warmer afternoons. Highly recommend. We enjoyed meeting the hosts and checking out Chips pottery.
