Cozy, but Large House on Quiet Commercial Street

It was a wonderful stay and made my birthday celebration with friends one to remember. The house was perfect and the event space was a great area!

We were delighted and pleasantly surprised with the accommodations! Beds comfortable, plenty of bathrooms, clean throughout. And cannot say enough about the Speakeasy… a total blast for relaxing & games! Would highly recommend.

Had an incredible time staying at the Waldo Astoria! It was clean, spacious, and so fun! We used the house as a space for my bridesmaids and I to stay and get ready for my wedding as well as the event space for our rehearsal dinner! Hope to find a reason to use this space again!

We loved our time here! It worked so well for our group (11 overnight, 17 during the day). It had everything we needed and then some. We all agreed that we would definitely come back again!

What an absolutely fabulous wedding weekend! The Waldo met our needs perfectly. Our 6 adult children, spouses and 4 Grand children were able to all stay at the venue and celebrate the Bride-to-be! The Speak Easy was PERFECT for the rehearsal dinner!!!! Thank you for providing the perfect space for us to create life long memories!!!!

Our family was absolutely thrilled with “Waldo Astoria”! The accommodations were perfect! Every floor had a full bath plus 2 bathrooms in the venue area. The house was clean and very comfortable. The venue area is amazing! The weather was beautiful, therefore we were able to open the venue’s garage doors for fresh air, which made the already huge space even larger. There are also picnic tables outside! I cannot say enough good things about Waldo Astoria. Traci, the host, is on top of everything. Questions answered immediately! We are so pleased we found Waldo Astoria! Thank you for sharing your amazing property!

This property was a great place for our family from all over the country to get together. There was plenty of space and bedrooms for 15+ people and the speakeasy downstairs was a very cool place to hang out! The check in process was easy, and the property manager was quick and helpful with any questions.

This house was a perfect location and the speakeasy was really cool. Would highly reccomend staying here if you are coming to Kansas City!

The place was much bigger than it looks in the pictures and all the ladies loved how many bathrooms there were. Beds were comfy and we had a great time being silly. Close to many places to eat and plenty of parking for our group. Some friends remarked they'll keep this spot in mind if they ever need to rent a place in the future.

The Waldo Astoria Guest House and Speakeasy event space was perfect for our needs. The hosts were responsive to our communications, and the property was better than expected. Room enough for our family, and the event space is nicely decorated and comfortable.

We travel a lot for kids sports and this is the most unique and stunning property we have stayed in. Plenty of space to share with a few other families and very clean and comfortable. Would stay again when in the area again!

We had a softball tournament in shawnee for memorial day weekend! 4 days of softball 3 hours away from home. This home held our whole softball team and their familes. It entertained the kids and the parents got to watch the super regionals in peace. It was a beautiful home! We enjoyed it so much! Big rooms, amazing bathrooms, huge entertainment area. The kids played darts and corn hole all weekend long!
