Stayed Jul 22, 2024It was a very quiet place to stay. The kitchen/living room lights flickered the whole time, which made us concerned about fire hazard. No instructions for using the TV. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay.

Stayed Sep 22, 2025Great space and location, quiet forest retreat and very private. The gardens and outside gathering areas are numerous, along with the giant bear sculpture and waterfall you can turn off and on. The inside has thoughtful touches, including dimmer switches on every light and a great electric fireplace with blower. I have stayed here twice!

Stayed Sep 24, 2024Private and quiet house in the forest near Tumalo State Park. The house was spotless, and appointed with modern touches, including a laundry room, dimmer switches, private driveway and gorgeous backyard with numerous areas to sit outside, bbq, and a one of a kind gigantic bear sculpture with waterfall. Loved it and will go back.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was our first stay at Big Bear, which we reserved sight-unseen online. Upon arrival, we found the property to be even more beautiful and spectacular than we expected. On top of that, the owner, Jan, who lives onsite, was so gracious and welcoming. She gave us full run of the property, including having our 2 granddaughters out to see the bear sculpture and waterfall, and play on the big toy. We were there 13 nights. The accommodations were spacious and clean. Very nice set -up. It feels out of town, but it's only 5 minutes away. Very quiet. We will definitely stay here again, each time we come to Bend.
