Private entrance and terrace, comfortable king size bed, heating and air conditioning, smart TV, small refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, kettle and coffee. The private patio overlooks beautiful secluded woods and includes patio lights & seating for 2. Great for getaways, rest!

15 minutes from restaurants, cafes and the charming small towns of Carrboro, Pittsboro, and Saxapahaw.20 mins to Chapel Hill.

This unique and small space is perfect for relaxing getaways, stopovers on road trips, and visiting the area for weddings and concerts.

BEDROOM
Stretch out in the spacious king bed, and watch TV from bed (we have a Roku Smart TV; no cable). An overhead fan helps keep the air circulating; and the mini split AC unit helps keep the place nice and cool in the summer time and toasty in the winter. Draw the curtains if you'd like to sleep in :)

BATHROOM
This unique and hand-built shower features galvanized tin walls and overhead skylight! Great water pressure and plenty of hot water (we've got a tankless heater for on-demand hot water). Enjoy shampoo, conditioner, and body wash from Public Goods.

KITCHENETTE
The small kitchenette features mini fridge, toaster oven, microwave, and hot water kettle. We supplies cups, plates, bowls, and utensils -- as well as organic coffee and coffee creamer as well as a selection of teas for your enjoyment. We just added a small bistro set, too, making it easier for you to enjoy a meal or sit down to do some writing or work on your computer.

NO LIVING ROOM, NO FULL KITCHEN
Please note that this is a small space and that there is no living room, no full kitchen, and no large dining space. This space is best suited to short stays for guests who are comfortable with small spaces.

STEPS & OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Not for people who have trouble with steps. There are two steps up/down from bedroom. Chairs on private, secluded, covered deck for enjoying morning coffee, breakfast, snacks.

NOTE: It has a very outdoorsy feel. You're likely to see squirrels, birds, maybe even a fox or raccoon. Summertimes are usually full of bugs — and they might find themselves inside your home. Cobwebs can appear literally overnight. For those weary of the great outdoors or nature's creatures, this place is not for you. We do not fumigate and choose to use natural pest management strategies whenever possible. The home is chemical and fragrance-free for easier breathing and better sleep.

10 mins to The Barn and 15 minutes to the Carriage House for weddings. 15 mins to the Ballroom at Saxapahaw, 20 mins to Cat's Cradle for music venues. 20 minutes to UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Chapel Hill hospitals. 40 minutes to RDU Airport.

PETS
If you want to bring a pet please let us know so we can send you our pet policy and you can bring your pet(s) in a way that will be happy for all! Thanks!

You will have complete and sole use of the private guest suite and deck. The driveway may be shared with other guests.

We are available for questions or to help solve problems by text. We will probably be out of town but have a wonderful manager who can help if something goes awry. Usually we can respond w/in a couple of hours but not generally before 10 am. or after 9 pm.

We were going to a late UNC game, and wanted to stay overnight afterwards since we live 1.5 hours away. This property was affordable, fun and artsy, and we saw a deer!

This is a very cute little place out in the woods. It is attached to the larger rental, but it has a private entrance. It is perfect for two people and a pet if you bring one (we didn’t). You do hear the other guest walking around a little, but it wasn’t bothersome. It is a rustic little place with a cabin feel. It was really nice to have coffee out on the little porch. The bed was comfortable. The host was very communicative. We had a great time!

Place is nothing like photos advertising the booking. Looks like years of neglect. Overgrown, spiderwebs everywhere - inside and out. No hot water, no internet, AC doesn't work, garbage overflowing, derelict surroundings. No approach - just drop into the ditch, drive trail partially covered in water. Hostess (a realtor) clearly a grifter banking on the reputation of VRBO. Gaslighting a place is charming to avoid accountability to provide for the health, safety, and comfort of guests is to be a fraud.

The space is exactly as advertised, and perfect for my solo getaway! I enjoyed watching the birds in the morning. The porch is a good size and offers plenty of privacy. The heaters worked well, and the kitchen was stocked with coffee, creamer, and tea. The toaster oven and microwave made simple meals easy. There was a family staying in the main house but they were very quiet.

Secluded setting in the woods, couldn’t see (or hear) any neighbors. I was there four nights. The first night there were people staying in the larger house connected to my “suite.” You could hear them talking and laughing and walking up and down the stairs. However, the next three days house was empty. And the nights were totally silent, waking up only to the sound of birds in the morning. Super clean and comfortable, hot coffee on the porch in my pajamas, sweet.

It was everything I needed for my brief vacation in North Carolina. As someone who enjoys his time alone, having a house in the woods all to myself was incredibly enjoyable. The rain and the upstairs neighbors were a bit loud at night and in the morning, but they were mostly negligible issues. I still had a great time.

Our first night there was really difficult. The bed is very hard and it was a very cold night and we didn’t know how to really run the heater in the apartment. Our second night was better once we had things figured out.
