“A Touch of Country Living” offers everything you need for a weekend or extended getaway. We stayed for a 3-day weekend and never had a need that wasn’t met by this charming property. Everything was just as described. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the house because we were busy with activities in Madison, but future visits to the house will have to have time built in to just relax. We played golf at University Ridge Golf Course and ate in Madison each evening. The property is close enough to commute back and forth as needed, yet it feels so far away from the city when considering how quiet and calm it is when you settle back in at night. We plan to visit Madison quite often, and we definitely hope to stay here again.

This little apartment is great! The location is super convenient. The parking is literally right next to the front door. The furnishings and kitchen supplies are all high quality. The hosts are friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this location.

A Touch of Country is a warm, welcoming and comfortable place. The owners are responsive and very accommodating. And their snow management is great! The location is perfect for accessing Sun Prairie, DeForest and Madison.

This beautiful home is one of the best VRBO's I've ever stayed in (and I've stayed in quite a few throughout the country). It was the cleanest and neatest home ever! The communication with the hosts was excellent. I wish every VRBO was like this one!! Enjoy your visit to the Madison area in this home.

Wonderful property. We were in town visiting and hunting family and friends during the Nov deer hunting season. We were there only in the evenings to eat and sleep, but had a wonderful time. Will def come back!

Exceptional clean and beautiful. Beds were very comfortable. The only problem is if you have mobility issues the couch height is very low. I had trouble getting up and had to sit on 2 cushions

Excellent property! Very clean, great location, quiet, and a perfect choice if you have limited mobility. Stairless entree with at door parking & step in shower with plenty of safety bars and a seat make this property more comfortable than home. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a location in this area.

Wonderful place. It's not hard to get to off of 51 North. Felt like it was the right amount of space for my family of 4. About 15-20 mins from the Olbrich Gardens, 20-25 mins from most other stuff downtown. Also 15 mins from Sassy cow which is incredible ice cream.

This home is close to the freeway, in a quiet spot in the country. Well equipped kitchen. Laundry facilities on site are great.

This is a very comfortable place to stay. There are many personal touches throughout the home and it is outfitted with everything you could possibly need. The home is also very clean. We found the neighborhood and area to be very beautiful and scenic. I highly recommend this rental to anyone needing a place to stay in the Madison area.

We absolutely love this property! This is our third time staying and we will be back again next year. The inside is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need. The hosts are super friendly and responsive. Simply could not ask for a better experience.

I do not think that I can quite convey how perfect these accomodations are. The photos do not do it justice. You get more than you see in the photos. The property is a shotgun style but quite spacious. There are multiple places to eat as well as a separate gaming area with it's own table and seating. We arrived way after the permitted check in time. However, locating the property and gaining entry were quite simple because of Barb's and Butch's directions and instructions which are quite thorough. They thought of everything, travel mugs and fly swatter included. There are ample labels throughout the property which blessedly took the guesswork out of which light switch goes to what (and there are a lot of lights). I was so impressed by the layout and lighting that I will be implementing them in my own home. This was not so much of a stay, but rather a home away from home. I did not get to speak or see either host and they respected our privacy. In hind sight I wish I had the opportunity to do so. The outside provided lots of on site parking and an additonal patio area and grill for barbecueing. Did not get to use it. The area was peaceful and tranquil. Let me repeat, do not sleep on booking here. It was perfect. I wish I could tell you that something was lacking. But since all my needs were met, I can't think of a single thing where they fell short. Thank you Barb and Butch for being stellar hosts.

We were very pleased with this lovely property. It is exactly as shown in the photos, it was exceptionally clean and great attention to the details. They have just about everything you could possibly need and even some really nice treats like chocolates and cold waters in the fridge on your arrival. The grounds are beautiful and the location is close to so many of Madison attractions. I highly recommend this property if you are visiting the Madison area. Oh, and the owners are really personable but respectful of your privacy. You will not be sorry if you rent this property.

We enjoyed our stay.The space was very comfortable with plenty of room.No detail was left out.Clear directions for all appliances and appurtenances as well.Communications with the property manager was excellent.Would recommend to anyone looking.

Wonderful guest house in the country with a cabin feel that was clean and well equipped for a family gathering and suitable for a quiet getaway.

We really enjoyed our days at the beautiful guest house. This is our favorite place to stay in the Madison area. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. Barb and Butch were very welcoming.

Our stay was great. Close to freeway to get to Madison everyday of our stay. Kwik Trip right up the road for convenience. Would recommend for anyone looking for a place close to everything but out in the country and quiet.

This property was everything the pictures showed and more! It was clean, so well organized, and was a great location for our needs. Barb & Butch were very responsive as well. We really appreciated the water in the fridge and that everything was labeled. We will definitely be back!

This was the cutest place and the hosts were great! Barb was super sweet and made sure we had no issues. Place is exactly like pictured and super clean. If ur heading to Madison and don’t want to stay in the city, this is the perfect place! You’re super close to the city, but you don’t have all of the traffic and noise. It’s a very peaceful place to stay!

The owners of the home were awesome had a fully stocked kitchen with everything to make your stay perfect!! We had our family Christmas dinner here and served 22 family members. I rate our overall stay 5 plus stars Thank you Barb and Butch

I stayed at Bruce & Barb’s rental while I was in town working for a full week. The home was so beautifully decorated for the holidays, very clean and cozy. Bruce and Barb were so friendly. I do not have a single complaint! I highly recommend staying at their rental.

Great place to stay that was great for a badger football game in Madison. Very clean and nice! Would definitely stay again.

Barb and Butch have provided every amenity one could ask for, from an initial packet of coffee for morning #1 to just about every kitchen tool imaginable. And the location was delightful... close enough (and far enough) from Madison to make getting in and out of the city easy - and deliciously quiet at night. For us, this wonderful home-away-from-home was just the right choice, giving us plenty of time to be with our newest grandchild - as well as a little quiet time to recuperate from hanging out with a 2-year-old! Already looking forward to another visit!

Traveling with friends to Madison to attend a Penn State vs Wisconsin football game we found A touch of country country living the perfect VRBO for our visit. Well equipped with all the essentials that made our stay comfortable. Communication with the owners was quick and they were responsive to our requests. We had a business trip to the area and decided to stay at Barbara's place in the country rather than a hotel. That was a great decision. Barbara's place was better than described. We have stayed in many VRBOs over the years, but this was one of the best. Everything was extremely clean. The layout was very well planned and the construction was good. Lighting was wonderful. We would definitely stay again.

We loved the beautiful country guest home which was very warm and inviting. Our group had plenty of space to gather, eat, and talk. We drove the short distance to UW-Madison campus to watch football and visit. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. We had a fantastic weekend.

This sweet little home was just as described. The owners were very accommodating and came to meet us as soon as we arrived. The supplies were very well stocked and we wanted for nothing. Barb & Butch had a notebook full of menus, attractions as well as games and puzzles to occupy our stay. We would recommend this place if you are in the Madison area. I think we were only about 12-15 mins from downtown. We visited the Farmer's Market. A must see if in the area.

Beautiful home with plenty of sitting areas, beautiful patio for morning coffee/evening visiting and drinks. As clean as any place can possibly be! Had trouble with the coffeemaker and let the host know. We had a new one within ten minutes! Awesome response! Home is near most everything on the northeast side of Madison.

The home and property were very clean and tidy. The house was cozy and I felt right at home. It was easy to find and I appreciate the amenities. I will definitely return.

The owners were very friendly and easy to work with. They put a great deal of effort into making clear instructions, including labeling wall switches for ease of use. Kitchen was well appointed and loads of room. Washer and dryer were bonuses for us as this was the last stop in our tour of WI. Would definitely stay here again.

Really had no issues. I've used the two popular sites numerous times, all across the country. This is the first time I haven't had an issue with a stay/property. many listings are highly inaccurate, this one was exactly as promised.

Excellent accommodations. Hosts do an excellent job ensuring the property is set up for their guests. We were in town for a family wedding and enjoyed the location as it was close to all the events. Stayed there last year as well for another family event. If you are looking for a location with smaller group, this would certainly fit the bill. Would definitely book again in the future when in the area.
