Welcome to the Tannersville Farmhouse! Situated at the top of 11 private acres, our house has the space you need, the comforts and luxuries you expect, and the views you dream of. Whether you are entertaining family and/or friends, the house and grounds will delight you. With beds for 19, a gracious modern kitchen, a pool, a hot tub, and a huge lawn for outdoor games, you couldn't ask for a better getaway in any season. The expansive grounds offer a sense of peaceful solitude, yet you are only a half mile from Tannersville's main street and a short drive to Hunter Mountain (10 mins). You are also within easy reach of charming towns like Hudson, Woodstock, Windham, and Saugerties.

On the main floor of the home, you will find the kitchen with an island counter that seats six. Marble countertops, a large trio fridge, two sinks, a five-burner cooktop, double wall ovens, two dishwashers, and many small appliances make preparing meals a pleasurable and interactive affair. Just outside the kitchen's French doors, you will find a gas grill and the pool. Past the kitchen are two full size bedrooms with a full bathroom. The dining table seats 14 comfortably and is easily accessible to the kitchen via a pass through sideboard with room for many platters of food. An adjacent table seats six.

The living room boasts plush chairs, couches, and ottomans to put your feet up on as you enjoy the wood burning fireplace. But no matter how comfortable the living room is, everyone will be vying for one of the sunroom's rockers and its uninterrupted views of the Catskill Mountains. Outside on the wrap-around porch, enjoy the landscape and the hummingbirds that grace us with their presence every year, or sit under the covered portion on stormy nights watching the lightning over the mountains.

Upstairs is a sitting room, four well-appointed bedrooms, and three bathrooms. Up another flight is the the fully-finished attic with beds to comfortably sleep five. Perfectly suited for children and young adults, this space also has ample room for two additional inflatable beds. The house is home to our extensive library with books for all ages in every nook and cranny. Toys and games for all are in the attic and sitting room.

On the patio level— a flight below the living room— is where the WiFi router is located. Through the glass doors to the outside is the lawn and another slate patio with a table and seating. The wood for the fireplace is stored just steps from this door for easy access. This is also where you will find the hot tub, which shares the expansive view from the sun room. It is stunning on a wintery night, but also lovely in the summer. Back inside, this level also has a television room, a full bathroom, a queen bedroom, and a laundry room with industrial size machines.

If you are up for a short walk in the woods, you can cross the driveway to the west and enter the woods on the path. You will walk through the maples that will soon give way to mountain pines. Continuing on the path, you will encounter the stream that is a watering place for local animals.

Upon returning home from your biking or hiking, you may be ready to take dip in our salt water pool which is medicinal in many ways. Or if it is winter and you are back from a long day of skiing, hop in the hot tub, unwind and enjoy the view.

In the town of Tannersville, you will find many restaurants (local favorites include Maggie's Crooked Cafe, The Last Chance Antiques & Cheese Cafe, Pancho Villa's Mexican Restaurant, and Mama's Boy Burgers featuring local grass fed beef), live music, antique stores, and other inviting shops. A beautiful bar awaits you for after hours at the Last Chance Tavern, hidden behind a secret shelving unit in the Cafe. If the performing arts entice you, the recently renovated Orpheum Theater— a remnant of the legendary Orpheum Chain from the 1920's— is back, hosting movies, live theater, music, and the annual Catskill Mountain Jazz Festival. TOPS grocery store is only 5 minutes away. For a wider selection, Price Chopper in Catskill is about 15 minutes away.

A discount for smaller groups is possible. Send an inquiry and we will do our best to accommodate you!

Honestly the pictures don’t do it justice. This house is amazing and the host is even better. I went for my birthday with a group of friends and there was plenty of space for everyone. They had air hockey, ping pong, corn hole, a closet full of board games, chess, mancalla, a fireplace, a massive hottub, a FULLY stocked kitchen (I would literally host Thanksgiving here), and heaters on every floor. I can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful and charming all at once! We had a great time enjoying the house, the porch, the pool and hot tub, the yard, and the town and surrounding areas. Plenty of room for everyone and the house had absolutely everything we needed. Stunning views, too - it was hard to leave at the end of our stay!

Everything from check in, check out, communication and amenities was excellent during our stay. Laurie and her husband Pat were amazing property managers. It snowed while we were staying and Pat plowed the driveways and salted the walkways. We forgot a few items and Laurie was kind enough to mail them back to us. I can’t say enough about our wonderful trip. We’ll definitely try to stay here again.

We spent a wonderful Christmas at the Tannersville Farmhouse, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting for our extended family gathering. The home was spacious, offering plenty of room for our group of 10 to spread out and relax. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare our holiday meals, which made cooking together an enjoyable and stress-free experience. The views were absolutely breathtaking—whether we were sipping coffee in the morning in the sunroom or relaxing in the hot tub outside while watching the sunset, the mountains provided a stunning backdrop that made every moment even more special. The Tannersville Farmhouse was the perfect place for us to gather, unwind, and celebrate the holidays together. We couldn't have asked for a better home to make lasting memories. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a cozy and scenic getaway with family or friends!

Had a nice holiday with the extended family. Charming farm house. Close to skiing. Cousins got to spend some quality time in front of the fire and playing games.

Stayed here to celebrate my 40th birthday with friends and family. Laurie was extremely helpful and communicative when I was trying to figure out all the logistics. She was easy going and incredibly responsive. The house is beautiful and the views we had on the deck and the lawn looking out at the fall foliage were unreal. My friends want me to turn 40 every year so we can stay at this house.

We decided to rent Laurie and George’s beautiful home for our foliage trip with family and friends. Their house was well equipped with everything we needed, the doors were a bit tricky to figure out to lock but aside that everything else was very comfortable and there’s great artwork and photos and a vast library of books to look at and spectacular views from the sunroom above everything to enjoy! Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation! We would certainly like to visit in the summer for the pool.

Thirteen of us stayed at this property for a Cousins' Reunion. It suited our needs perfectly in terms of layout. location and amenities. Laurie was kind enough to leave the pool heated beyond the time that it would normally have been shut off. The house had space for all of us to gather together, as well several spaces for smaller groups of us to gather. There were ample activities available. Some of us hiked, some of us went into Tannersville, Saugerties, or Woodstock, and some of us just hung around the house enjoying the pool and hot tub;:) The caretaker met us upon arrival and Laurie was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. All in all, i was a great experience and I would highly recommend this house for large group gatherings.

Our entire family (parents, kids, grandkids) recently stayed and had a wonderful time! The pool was perfect! The size and temperature were spot on, the kids spent hours in it. The bedrooms were all comfy and provided plenty of sleeping space for our group of 17. The porch was lovely and relaxing. Laurie was incredibly kind and responsive to even minor questions. I would highly recommend for groups looking for a nice place to just relax and enjoy each other’s company!

When making our final decision on a location for a family reunion we settled on this house for two reasons: 1) it had a pool, and 2) it had AC. The pool was awesome and ended up being a huge source of joy for us during our stay, but when we arrived at the location we realized that there wasn't actually any AC. We called the host who sent someone over to install 2 window units (one in a central area and the other in the master bedroom which is in its own wing). We had intended to stay at a place with AC for my mother who needs a cool place to be comfortable. Suffice to say, she had a rough trip along with the 4 people sleeping in the attic since it was an oven up there. It's important to note that we were in the middle of a heat wave during our stay and I believe that aside from the attic, most of the spaces would probably be very comfortable if the weather was more mild Aside from the AC we liked the house. It was a bit musty and dusty, but seems like that should be expected with an older house.

Everyone in our family who walked into the house for the first time just said WOW! The kitchen area is first class, the porch and view were spectacular, the bedrooms comfortable and well spread out, the lawn out front held all our games, add in the pool (always warm) and a hot tub, we had no reason to leave. Loved the little village of Tannersville and the proximity to lots of things to do. Gotta think this would be equally awesome in the winter for skiers going to Hunter. Thanks Laurie, George, Laurie and Pat for making our family reunion memorable.

We had a great time in Tannersville. The house was very comfortable for our large family of 18.The kitchen has everything we needed. My only complaint was the advertising of flexible arrival and departure times. I had an email that stated departure time was 8pm. The day we arrived I was informed that we had to be out by 11AM because the next guests were arriving at noon.
