Privacy at its best, near to wineries, yet you feel away from it all once you enter our private, secluded property. Great for families of all ages. Enter through private road with peach orchard and vegetable gardening on each side. And once you arrived, you can view the estate vineyard in its various stages of production. The property is located on 4 acres with great views in all directions. You take a step back in time as you find remnants of a by gone period, with an old cistern, and the iconic windmill both used as water sources in a different era. The front screened porch is guests' favorite spot for morning coffee. You can enjoy the serenity of the sunrise and watch for farm animals and deer grazing in the distance. Sunsets are best enjoyed out on the back patio, sitting by the outdoor fireplace on cooler days or listening to the waterfall on the warmer days.
The 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bath home with its original rock structure built in the 1890s, holds many of the characteristics of the original house with modern updates. The current owners have incorporated antique furnishings with modern furnishing to create a comfortable cozy house. Bedroom 1 downstairs has a king size bed with close proximity to full bath, shower/tub around the corner in hallway. Bedroom #2 upstairs, larger than bedroom #1 has a California king bed and a half bath but close access to the full bath, also upstairs, with walk in shower. Bedroom #3 upstairs encompasses the entire second floor of the original rock house resembles a large open dormitory room of yesteryear allowing for a lot of sleeping space. Bedroom #3 has a queen bed, 3 twin beds, great for kids or a 3rd couple.
Our detached garage has all you need for some family or group fun: a ping pong table, corn hole bags game, bikes and helmets for kids and just some space to hang out in in the event of inclement weather.
We also have an EV charger in the driveway to charge your electric vehicle. Ask owner how to enable the charger.
There are many attractions, almost 100 wineries within a 30 minute drive, shopping in Fredericksburg, antiquing in Johnson City, close to LBJ State Park, Old Tunnel State Park, for bat watching, Enchanted Rock State Park and Pedernales State Park for hiking, Albert Ice House and Luckenbach for evening entertainment and many, many more unique places.
And the greatest experience of the weekend could be a visit to the Rhinory, a mile away, owned by a family member! You will drive past it on your way to the house, at the intersection of Gellerman and Hwy 290. You will find the winery with great wine and a great experience for the youngsters. Be sure you stop in during your stay. Call for reservations on busy weekends and holidays.
Be sure to allow enough days to spent in the area. Most guest will admit they should have stayed longer.

This property was magical for our family Christmas. It is perfect for kids all the way to the grandparents. The house is well appointed and very comfortable. My only disappointment was that we disintegrated book for a longer stay. We will absolutely be back to visit!

Our stay was excellent. The location near downtown was extremely convenient, and the home itself was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, which made it feel warm and inviting. The accommodations were very comfortable, everything was spotless, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing visit.

This combines the best of an historic home with new conveniences. Delores has thought of everything. We have stayed at so many places for our girls trips that are missing key items. This house had everything we needed and more! We loved the outdoor features; screened in porch, the back patio with a fireplace and a lovely waterfall fountain where we watched deer, birds and butterflies The living room had plenty of comfortable seating. We even played some ping pong in the garage! It’s conveniently located between Johnson City and Fredericksburg with easy access to all the wineries and restaurants. Delores answered any questions quickly and offered more help if we needed anything!

Had a great stay. Had everything we needed and host was very nice and prompt with communication. Wonderful place to unwind in the evening and sip coffee on the porch in the mornings. We had 3 couples and the space was great, however; the two bedrooms upstairs I would call semi private as there are no doors to the rooms up there. Just something to be aware of. Will definitely stay again.

We decided to experience the Fredericksburg Oktoberfest a week or so prior and were very lucky to find this gem. Great updated farmhouse with ample space. We also liked the fact the master bedroom was on the first floor and had its own bathroom. A quirky staircase from a long time ago goes upstairs which probably was an attic space way back when. Loved the history of the house. 2 bedrooms upstairs were great for 3 young adults. Wifi and internet TV were also a nice modern touch. We enjoyed the fireplace in the backyard and morning coffee on the porch. Very serene and quaint environment with lots of wildlife spotted. The goats on the way to the property are fun to watch. They do not seem afraid of humans or cars. We enjoyed several local winery/restaurants and breweries also. Overall a great place. Highly recommend it.

Such a cute and cozy home! We enjoyed staying here and loved that it was away from everything but also super close to all the wineries. The house had all the toiletries you could think of and thank goodness because a few of us forgot our body wash and shampoos. Delores was such a great host and was very sweet and easy to communicate with. I definitely would recommend this house to stay at and will return if I ever come back to Fredericksburg. Such a great experience!

The property was clean, beautiful, and nestled on well-maintained land in the perfect location—secluded enough for privacy, yet just a short drive from downtown Fredericksburg. It was also ideally situated near many of the area’s top wineries. Inside, the home had a cozy, rustic charm that made evenings relaxing and fun, with plenty of games and activities to enjoy. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this charming property to anyone visiting the area.

We absolutely loved our stay at this incredible home in the Texas Hill Country! Just outside of Fredericksburg, the property was not only stunning inside but also surrounded by the natural beauty of vineyards and orchards. The home itself was immaculate, thoughtfully furnished, and incredibly comfortable—every detail was perfectly in place to make us feel relaxed and welcome. The grounds were peaceful and beautifully maintained, offering the perfect backdrop for morning coffee or evening wine. We were especially grateful to be within just half a mile of where we were celebrating our son’s engagement—it made the whole weekend feel seamless and extra special. This was truly one of our favorite VRBO experiences, and we’re already hoping to return. Thank you for providing such a warm, inviting, and memorable space. It was the perfect place to celebrate such a meaningful occasion!

We had a fantastic Easter weekend at the farmhouse. The entire home was thoughtfully appointed with amenities we didn't even know we needed! We spent the majority of our time on the patio watching the kids play in the yard. The bikes and helmets were a huge hit with the kids! It was easily one of the most serene places we have visited.

We stayed with our adult children and absolutely loved this house. Cute patio and outdoor space, ping pong tables and bikes in the garage. The house is an old historic home with original hardwoods and thick stone walls, but the appliances, fixtures and beds are all updated and beyond comfortable. Delores is a gracious, responsive host who makes the space even better with small honey touches - fully stocked kitchen and baths, even S’Mores for the outside firepit. We loved it and will definitely be back!

My brother and I—along with our spouses—had a wonderful time visiting the hill country and celebrating my parents’ 80th birthdays! This home was the perfect blend of charm, history, and comfort! We loved the outdoor fireplace and all of the beautiful areas to explore outside the home. The two ping pong tables got lots of use! Our host was very helpful, and we really appreciated knowing some of the history of the home and area. We will definitely return to your home, hopefully sooner than later!
