A TRUE Farm experience! Come stay on our active sheep farm in the Blue Ridge mountains. If you are looking for a unique stay, our mountain valley farm is sure to please. Our three king bedrooms and two full baths house is perched on top of a rolling hill, with long valley view’s overlooking our sheep farm!
The Farm and farmhouse are located on our 14 acres where you will be immersed in adorable lambs, grapevines, babbling creeks and long valley views. All with the stunning Blue Ridge mountain views as your backdrop. We just added a nice fenced back yard for you to let your youngsters or pet off leash so they can enjoy some outdoor free time. They too will get to meet new friends along a shared fence line!
Onsite small grape vineyard, over one hundred+ head of sheep, egg laying hens, ducks, turkeys, all produce fresh products daily and are available through our retail farm store at the road front. Bring the family for a hands-on farm experience and tour with your stay. Only 4 miles from downtown Ellijay and 6 miles from Blue Ridge. Where hiking, wineries, apple orchards, and train rides await. Be prepared to make new animal friends during your stay. Our friendly sheep will await you in the “meet the sheep” coral next to the farm store.
Enjoy looking out of the master bedroom windows and counting sheep before you go to sleep. Wake up to the rooster crowing as you make your way to the on-site farm store for fresh eggs, pastries, and dairy. All just on site from your door. In the fall, we host an annual corn maze, and tractor hayride you can enjoy. Food trucks and fun games are open on the weekends during our events on the grounds.
Seasonally there is always something growing to enjoy. Pumpkins grow next to the three creeks that run through the farm as well as sunflowers and wildflowers!
Our family of three will be present daily, as we work the 100 head of sheep in the valley and can be seen at a distance out your back door as we tend the fields. This includes our 8-acre corn maze we put on in the fall season. You will be welcomed to visit with the animals and tour the grounds where we have three converging creeks, grape vineyard, rustic barns, and modern farm facilities. (Good boots are suggested.) you will meet Tom the turkey and his family, fluffy rams and baby lambs!

The farmhouse was one of the most unique experiences our family has ever had. The views of the farm were amazing and having the actual farm store next door was perfect. The hosts were amazing and extremely gracious to give our kids a tour of the farm. The home provided all the necessary kitchenware, the rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The recliners in the living room made evening time by the fireplace very relaxing. The location of the farmhouse right off the main road was convenient and was a quick 10 min drive into downtown Ellijay and about 20 minutes to Blueridge. Overall one of the best trips we have ever had!

Cute place with plenty to do and animals to see. Lee went out of his way to give us a private playdate with the baby goats.

Everything about this house was excellent. Cleanliness, amenities (best coffee around), beautiful location convenient to Blue Ridge, Ellijay and of coarse enjoying the sheep and farm animals. We look forward to visiting again soon!

Had a great time. Property was perfect location. House was the perfect size for family of 6. Built in entertainment with the sheep next door. No traffic. No bad smells from farm. Chicken and geese in the morning. Buy some feed from store and feed through the fence. Take the tour of the corn field and drive to Ellijay downtown. About 10 minutes. Highly recommend.

Home was perfect for our weekend. Home was as described. Check in was easy and host communicated quickly. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds and furniture were comfortable. The fenced yard was perfect and the farm was so peaceful. Lots of little extras like q-tips, shampoo, conditioner, salt/pepper, air fryer and blender came in handy. Thank you!

We had a wonderful visit at the farm. The home was well appointed and had everything we needed. Hayden gave us a great tour of the sheep and our two year old grandson loved petting a baby sheep. We would definitely recommend a stay here. Downtown Elijay has nice shops and there are many good hiking trails. Try the hard cider! Will and Mindy are fantastic hosts - thank you!!

The Sheep Farm was a very Peaceful Place. Very Comfortable surroundings and very Friendly Host. We were looking for a laid back weekend getaway and that was exactly what we got. We enjoyed our delicious lunch at Cantaberry’s Restaurant in downtown Ellijay and then went and checked into the house . Lee and Mindy were the perfect host. Always there if you needed them and never bothered us for anything. We even got to hold a 10 day old sheep!

Our family had a great time visiting and staying at Cress Creek Sheep Farm! The house was well stocked, clean, and comfortable and the hosts were kind and helpful. Our young kids had a great time feeding the sheep, completing the corn maze, riding the tractor hay ride, and generally exploring the farm! We enjoyed apple picking nearby and a few small hikes as well! Beautiful and we would happily return!

A group of us stayed for a girl's weekend getaway. The property is gorgeous and the house is just adorable and the decor is perfect for the sheep farm theme. The owners and their family were on the property as this is a working sheep farm and farm store, so they were available but yet non-intrusive. They were wonderful hosts exemplifying Southern Hospitality, and shared with us information about the farm and letting us interact with the sheep. The newborn lambs were so cute!!!! The house is very well appropriated and clean, and it worked well for our group. We are talking about a return visit next year!!

I can’t say enough good things about this property! This is absolutely perfect for your family vacation, girls’ getaway, or even your solo retreat from it all. The property is stunning. You’ll start your day with coffee watching deer and turkey in the back fields as the sun rises over the mountains. In the evenings the front and back porches are an ideal spot to survey the sheep, chickens, turkey, and other friends that you’ve made while staying here. (Cocoa the sheep likes head scritches before bed. Don’t disappoint her.) The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is impeccably clean and beautifully decorated for your farm vacation. A quick trip to the grocery store when you arrive means you can prepare as many meals at “home” as you would like. If you prefer to visit the restaurants in downtown Ellijay, you’re only 4 miles down the road. This vacation is really made perfect by meeting Lee, Mindy, Hayden, and their whole extended family as they come to the property each day to work the farm and run the store. Their warm greetings each day and advice on places to visit and things to do were lovely. Hayden gave us a private tour of the farm and let us pitch in on some chores (one of which was snuggling the brand new baby lamb that was born that day - I’ll take this chore everyday, please!). And because we visited during the Apple Festival, we joined the family on the Cress Creek parade float to wave along the parade route and keep Barry the sheep company!
