Casa Bacci was probably built around the end of the 19th century as farmhouse servicing the adjacent Villa Bacci which was bought by the owner’s great grandfather in 1899. It sits on a hill overlooking the village of Porto Azzurro with magnificent views over the harbour, the Capoliveri hills and the Stella gulf. On clear days it is possible to see the isles of the Tuscan archipelago, Pianosa and Giglio as well as Corsica.
The house is surrounded by its own land, fields and vineyard gently sloping towards the sea and in a unique environmental setting within National Park borders offering maximum quiet even in peak tourist season while only five minutes away from the hustle and bustle of town.
This cozy apartment on the ground floor can lodge up to 4 guests (1 ensuite master bedroom + 1 double bed in mezzazine overlooking main room) . The romantic french doors open onto a spacious garden terrace with magnificent sea views. The garden is equipped with outdoor furniture and everything you need for amazing al fresco dining on summer nights. We also have an apartment on the first floor (6 pax) which can suit large groups wishing to spend their holidays together while enjoying their own privacy.

We had a wonderful stay in a unique and quite hause with beautiful view on the sea and the landscape. The house is located a bit outside of Porto Azzuro, up the hill so a car is necessary for shopping and sightseeing trips. Chiara, the landlady is very approachable and supports asap if needed.

This is truly a wonderful holiday home, very quiet and close to nature, with a breathtaking view. However, we would recommend the apartment on the ground floor only for families with younger children as the space is quite limited. The upper apartment offers more space.

we (familiy with 2 kids) had a great time at Casa Bacci! ;-) Everything was exactly as described on the website, the outdoor shower was our favorite place, and at night we were very happy to have air-condition in the rooms! Thanks to the air-condition and very good matresses on all beds (also the kids beds) we could sleep really well and the kids loved their little private corner where they had their own playground and could even lock their little door ;-) We really fell in love with Elba and this lovely holiday house! It is a beautiful island: easy to reach, easy to get around, nice beaches (even end of July when we were there we could still find places that were not too crowded) with clear water and lots of fishes, lovely little towns and a very laidback atmosphere. And of course: great food (at good prices)! We were positively surprised that the majority of the tourists were Italian, and not Dutch, German or British ;-) Houseowner Chiara was very friendly and easy to communicate with, even though we never met in real life, but communication via e-mail and Whatsapp went really smooth. So, we absolutely recommend Elba and Casa Bacci as holiday destination and will hopefully come back once! Ciao, Chiara, and thanks a lot for a great week in your lovely house! My husband and I and our 3 children spent a very pleasant holiday at Casa Bacci. It's such an inspiring place, so peaceful and quiet, so beautiful. The house itself is well equipped, clean and functional. It wasfantastic to be far from the chaotic little town of Porto Azzurro, yet minutes away (not more than 5) from all services and amenities.

We spent two weeks at Casa Bacci last summer, in July. We did not know exactly where it was and we did not expect at all such a magnificent beauty. The photos posted on the web barely give the idea of what this place is. First of all it is far away from the crowd, traffic and noise of Porto Azzurro in a superb countryside environment, from where you can reach really nice beaches, such as Barbarossa, Zuccale and Felciaio and tasty restaurant, just in a few minutes. The house is conveniently located by one of the Great Elba Trials and from here you can reach through off road paths, incredible places, such as the Monserrato’s Monastery or the Volterraio castle. Me and my wife used to cycle with our MTBs every single day and we explored many nice places and beaches. All rooms are equipped with A/C, even if we did not use them as the house was fresh. The best part of the holiday was to enjoy in the late afternoon, fresh white wine from Elba admiring the gulf of Porto Azzurro, while the sun was fading towards the nice village of Capoliveri with unbelievable colours. Giovanni, the house manager was very helpful and nice, giving us many information on the surrounding areas. One day there was a major electrical shortage for maintenance works on the line and he came on purpose to inform us, as he assumed (and he was right) that we did not understand the Italian advise posted by the electrical company. The house is well equipped with all the kitchen tools you can need. We extensively used the gas BBQ to grill very tasty fishes from local fish shop. We will for sure go back to Casa Bacci next summer as we really enjoyed it and relaxed very much. It was one of my best holiday ever and last, but not least, the value for money was very good for what we got.

The ground floor apartment was perfect for our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children. The place was immersed in beautiful countryside but was very close to Porto Azzurro. We stayed in August but unlike elsewhere on the island we enjoyed absolute peace. Contact was easy and smooth with both Chiara and Giovanni (assistance on site). The apartment was tastely furnished and was spotless clean. There was everything we needed: air conditioning (very important in full summer!), dishwasher, hairdryer, washing machine, tv and dvd player, bbq. We especially loved the outdoor shower with amazing views over the sea and the village. The patio in the garden is great, there's a big table with chairs so we always had our meals outside with a good wine, unbeatable location. We will surely be back and can definitely recommend!

We had a great time at Casa Bacci. The location is awesome. It's a quiet place surrounded by wonderful nature. The view over Porto Azzurro and Capoliveri is gorgeus. Although the apartments of Casa bacci are located in the back country of Porto Azzurro, it isn't far to town and the beaches. However a car is advantageous. The ground floor apartement was charming and we had everything we needed. The support service was excellent. We are really looking forward to our next vacations at Casa Bacci. Thanks for everything!
