Stayed Jan 12, 2026We had a great time at the Donkey House! This home was very clean, beautifully decorated, and fully stocked with everything you need. We felt very comfortable there. The location is great, the neighborhood beautiful, quiet and close to the cozy towns of Cave Creek and Carefree. The hosts, Karla and Rod, have been wonderful and it was a pleasure to meet them. The eggs from their chickens were delicious and we enjoyed meeting the two adorable donkeys, Rosie and Mamacita. Thanks Karla and Rod for making this home such a welcoming experience!

Stayed Mar 1, 2025We had a lovely stay at the Donkey house. Donkey house is a nicely re-done older Arizona ranch home sitting on a big piece of land in a very quiet area. Close to great hiking and restaurants but off the beaten path. Perfect for what we were looking for, Donkeys were like big dogs that didn't bark, just hanging around in their coral area playing or lying in the sun. Great break from Chicago winter.

Stayed Dec 29, 2023Our group of 3 sibs plus spouses stayed in this beautiful Cave Creek location to ring in 2024. The home is super clean, super well equipped and has the most glorious vistas. Very private, felt like we were far from it all, yet very close to great dining, shopping and hiking, etc. Our hosts are the nicest people you could ever hope to meet! We loved our stay and hope to come again soon!
