Stayed Jun 8, 2022This property is very centralized to the west of the big island. It is also located in a very safe and quiet community but beacuse of its location you will have to travel to go to the store, beach, parks, etc. So if you like quiet and peaceful then this is the spot for you.

Stayed Feb 9, 2026It is not often that a place goes beyond our expectations, but this place did. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, and we could often hear the ocean just a street away. We spent much of our time there on the back lanai. The clothesline under the awning allowed clothes to stay dry even when it rained. Parking was also great. The place is very private, clean, and safe and we highly recommend it.

Stayed Dec 30, 2025The host was very responsive and the house was perfect for the two of us. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes. Plenty of extra blankets and pillows. And the outdoor space was downright dreamy. Sat on the lanai while it was raining and stayed dry. Location was great for short walks to the cliffs or to the trailhead of a more substantial hike. And yes. You can hear the ocean!

Stayed May 25, 2025We really enjoyed our two-week stay at the cottage. It had a little of everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The back lanai was especially nice. The geckos would visit us every time we ate on the back lanai. And you could hear the ocean from time to time. Lots of ocean cliffs nearby to walk to and explore. The only recommendation we have is to fix/replace the microwave above the stove, although Kelly had a backup microwave available. Everything to see on the Hilo side of the island was within a 90-minute drive from the cottage. We would definitely rebook the cottage if we return to Hawaii.

Stayed May 6, 2025I had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage. The kitchen was amazingly equipped and the bed was incredibly comfy! The back lanai was a place I never wanted to leave and the sweet area next to cottage was a perfect place to hang with my son and family when they came over to visit me. A very sweet neighborhood and I loved falling to sleep hearing the deep ocean roar and the incredible symphony of koki frogs and crickets. I cannot wait to return soon!

Stayed Mar 22, 2025The property contained everything that we needed and more. At night was could hear the ocean waves and frogs. The morning we awoke to the rooster crowing.The cottage was big enough for the two of use to move around without getting in the way of each other. The only thing the cottage could have used was a bit more space for clothes. My wife likes to put her clothes in the drawers, so I got to leave mine in the suitcase, but I am a guy so I am used to that.We saw the volcano erupting, so the whole trip was a success!

Stayed Feb 21, 2025Great yard and neighborhood for this vacation rental. However inside the rental needs a deep cleaning and new kitchen supplies. Even the potato peeler was broken. The nonstick pans were old and probably have the older unhealthy coating. The furniture on the decks was comfortable but the inside couch and chairs were not.we did enjoy our stay despite these things.

Stayed Sep 17, 2024This is a great cottage. Small but very well equipped. Not a far walk to the cliffs where we saw 10 or so turtles swimming below. The other direction is a 3 mile hike to a secluded beach. Would highly recommend.
