This perfect little getaway is just a block from the beach located on 2nd Street (5 minute walk) and a few minutes drive from everything the Gulf Coast has to offer! The cottage was renovated in 2025 with no expenses spared. The interior of the home expresses those eclectic qualities expected from a renovated antique cottage such as bead board walls and ceilings, real pine floors, and stained glass. The home features three bedrooms containing two queen and two twin beds, two full bathrooms, living area, dining area, high end kitchen, and a granite topped green egg station outside. The home is preferably placed on Gulfport’s 2nd Street, south of the tracks as we locals say. This lends easy access both east and west along Highway 90.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast is a locale rich with fascinating history that has become a melting pot of culinary expression and regional customs. The intent of The Shrimp Shack is to share the many joys of the Coast that my family holds dear with those that wish to experience the Coasty way of life.

NOTE: This property features a Ring Doorbell device located beside the front door as well as a Ring Flood Light Camera on the north east corner of the dwelling as well as along the ally behind the dwelling. The cameras actively records video and sound when motion is detected by the device or when the video doorbell button is pressed.

NOTE: In an effort to maintain the yard to the highest quality possible groundskeeping takes place weekly at the discretion of the landscape contractor.

    The property was very close to the beach - great location for beach access (walkable - about 1 block) and restaurants. Very close to attractions too, such as the aquarium. The house was incredibly clean and kitchen was well-stocked with cooking tools/pots/pans. The towels were new and good quality. They have street parking only which, at first, we were concerned about because we brought our golf cart but it turned out fine. There was plenty of space to park and it felt very safe. Perfect spot for our weekend trip.

    Excellent, clean and nice stay! Owner's emails were detailed and concise of arrival and departure procedures. I will definitely be book again! The area/neighborhood was nice and quiet.

    Great place to stay! The house was spacious, very nice, and super clean. I would definitely recommend it you can literally walk to the beach, and it’s close to everything.The only thing to note is that there’s no pull-in driveway, so you have to park on the street in front of the house. But that wasn’t a problem, as many people park there.Overall, an excellent place.
