Very well stocked home, even down to the “neigh nibblers” ti feed the resident donkey! He was sweet and made us smile! This was our first time in Weaverville and we really enjoyed it and were surprised at the convenience of the location!!!
WE ENJOYED OUR STAY & LOVED THE PET DONKEY. DOUG NEELY
The property is exactly the way it was described period We went during peak season of the fall voyage and it was magnificent. The property was well maintained, the grounds were well maintained. All of the trees that had color were on the property and it was close up and real and magnificent. We were definitely stay there again. The hot tub was a welcome sight after a nice long hike on the trail that is on the property. The only thing anyone would need is just a food they wanna eat.
We loved it. Roomy, comfortable, visits from wild turkeys, the donkey, close to town and city, near Blue Ridge Parkway. Well supplied kitchen.
Beautiful property located at the end of the road with a view of the mountains and sunset. We loved our stay and would definitely come back!
The home is on a deadend road at the top of a hill, gorgeous view. The home is so welcoming, it's decorated as charming as one can imagine and it's cleaned and well stocked. The soaking tub I could have stayed in for hours and the pond and donkey were exciting extras. The trail located on the property is really lovely and gives you a chance to view the untouched beauty of North Carolina. We will definitely be back. Thank you.
Vacationing in a 1-level home with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in the Asheville region is not an easy find! Most vacation homes in the area are multi-story due to the lay of the land, so this checked all our stay boxes, including a lovely mountain view from the front porch rocking chairs. The beds were comfortable and the home was very tidy indoors. It was a very homey place to retreat.
My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. It was spacious, clean and had everything we could have possibly needed. We all fell in love with Hershey the Resident Donkey! Looking forward to coming back one day soon!
Beautiful property! Amazing views and plenty of nature surrounding the house! Small bluegill fish in the pond. The donkey was super friendly and fun to watch. Only complaint was the gas grill didnt have any propane.
The place is absolutely gorgeous, the house is well kept and stocked. We will definitely be back.
My wife and I celebrated out 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to a Asheville, and chose this property as our home base. It was perfect. Great amenities in the house. Also, a location just far enough out of town for privacy, but close enough to easily get anywhere we needed. I cannot recommend this property highly enough!
We loved the house and location. Especially loved the donkey and nearby hiking trails. The only issues were that the hot tub water smelled really sour and needed to be cleaned. Also, there were dirty diapers in the bedroom trash can upon arrival. Other than that, great spot!
My family and I came up here for our Christmas vacation and it was lovely! My wife loved the fireplace, it was peaceful and relaxing. Over the few days we stayed there we went on some gorgeous hikes including the trail behind the house. My daughter loved feeding the donkey carrots and it let her pet him. He was sweet. Overall it was a pleasing experience and we definitely consider coming back to stay!
Most enjoyable stay my family has had. Great for little kids who love playing outside, hiking, fishing, and feeding a donkey. This house has all of that and it is all great. Location is at the end of the road and so peaceful. Great views for many cups of coffee. House was well setup for the family. 15 minutes to anything you need while being far enough away to be at peace. Easy directions, people respond to you, and Nick, a caretaker, was so nice to the family. Again, what more can you want? We were extremely satisfied. Thank you.
Lovely property - kept wondering why they would open up this beautiful updated farmhouse to the public! We took full advantage of the property from relaxing in the home, sipping coffee on the front porch, utilizing the hot tub, hiking the property and loving on Hersey!
I booked this stay for a girls trip with my friends and it was the perfect place for us! We spent so much time on the porch staring at the gorgeous mountain views! Everything was clean and as described. The hot tub was a nice touch after days of hiking and an easy drive into town for other things that we needed. Would definitely recommend this place and would book again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
Loved our stay here. Was a nice one-level home with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Loved the home, plenty of wildlife around the home including wild turkey, deer, saw a black bear, and of course the lovable donkey. Sit on the front porch and watch the weather roll in. So nice and relaxing.
My family loved staying here. Hershey, the donkey is precious and we got to see wild turkeys almost everyday. The house is clean and comfortable. It is charming and large enough for everyone to have plenty of space. The beds are amazingly comfortable.
Property was fantastic! Great location close to Asheville, Weaverville and Mars Hill. Home was clean, views were fantastic. Enjoyed the quiet surrounded by nature. Hot tub was a treat after a day of hiking. Hershey was fun to interact with. The only downside was the on property trail was too overgrown to traverse, however plenty of other hiking in the area.
This property and location was probably our most favorite we’ve ever rented. We’ve stayed in properties all over the country and this place felt the most welcoming.
Beautiful old house with precious antiques. Kids loved the fish in the pond and the donkey! Clean inside..outside could use a little work but we enjoyed the hot tub and front porch. Beautiful view of the blue ridge mountains out the front!! Perfect little getaway
Easy, process to rent and great place to stay.
Great property!!! Very well kept and comfortable. Loved the view and Hershey, the donkey!
