Boothbay Harbor, Maine
The oceanfront cottage, overlooking Barrett's Park, has 2 twin beds, a complete bathroom with a shower and all utilities including cable T.V and Wi-Fi. There is plenty of outside seating for viewing the many varieties of birds. Also a dock and float is available for your use. We have kayaks or if you have a larger boat, we have a mooring when available. Enjoy the peace and quiet listening to the waves gently lap the shore, watch the osprey, Canadian geese, lobster men at work with their boats and traps. Or if you want more action the town center is a short 5 minute walk. We have a 4 night minimum in peak season, otherwise a 3 night minimum during the spring and fall season.
There you will find unlimited shopping, restaurants and tour boats.
We are located just off the Maine Island Trail between the Sheepscot and Damariscotta Rivers. Paddle in for a few nights rest. We have a great dock to tie up your kayak. The cottage has space for two people only. Transportation is available from the Portland International Jetport or from the Concord Coach bus stop in Wiscasset. You really do not need a vehicle once you arrive in Boothbay Harbor. This is a non-smoking/ non vaping (inside or out) and no pets property. Check in is from 4-8 pm/ Check out is by 10 am
Very cool location. Somewhat rustic but not in a bad way. Very clean and well kept. Excellent communication with property owner.
Comfortable little cottage that was perfect for my week long vacation. Conveniently located for a quick walk to downtown as parking can be difficult in BBH. I would recommend this to anyone!
Great location. Tiny cottage, but worked quite well for us. Outstanding view Great hosts Near Harbor And more
Overall this was a nice very tiny house. It was located a very nice walk from town and also to a small park. View from the tiny house were excellent, looking out onto the water. There is a small bathroom (toilet and sink) and another small shower stall room, all within the footprint of the tiny house. We were able to move the twin beds together but that works as well as you can imagine. Kitchen devices (full fridge, microwave, outdoor grill, silverware and dishes) are accessible in the house under the deck (walkout basement) yards away. The internet WIFI was very spotty and not reliable for us. There is a dock with kayaks available, but they were not free for our use when we wanted to use them (there is another not-as-tiny house for rent on the property and others got to the kayaks before we did). We enjoyed out stay in Boothbay Harbor and would recommend this VRBO, noting the above challenges. This was a fun experience. Vanese (managing the rental for her grandparents) was helpful, available, very pleasant. We will explore renting the other house in the future as it appears a little. bigger.
A peaceful and comfy refuge in a beautiful setting, friendly and welcoming hosts, within easy walking or biking of downtown Boothbay Harbor -- what else can one ask for? A regular-sized fridge, coffeepot and microwave, Atlantic Edge for lobsters only a couple of blocks away, and kayaks, too -- thank you, Nan and Mac!
This beautiful cottage, with Nan and Mac, embodies all that makes Maine great. Perfect location on a breathtaking bay, wonderfully landscaped and decorated in a seaside manner. We enjoyed walking to town, especially as parking in the harbor is very difficult. I’ve been to Boothbay Harbor several times, never had a bad experience, but Nan and Mac’s cottage, and their helpfulness made this an exceptional experience, we look forward to returning.
Good cottage for a one or two person getaway. Minimum upkeep required. Very good location-within comfortable walking distance of Boothbay Harbor restaurants and stores- waterfront property with access to watercraft. Planned installation of shower will eliminate need to utilize shower in basement of main dwelling. .Parking on property. Hospitable hosts.
I like to walk and soak up a community when I am on vacation and feel safe and secure at the same time. This cottage was perfect for me with a nautical theme inside and out that was comfortable and convenient to restaurants and the tour boats, shops, and local trails. The bay was right down in the backyard and a dock with kayaks available when the tide was in. The owners were friendly and helpful, informative about the area. I was able to store food in the refrigerator and had a microwave and coffee pot handy as well as a grill and picnic table. The windows facing the bay made for beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It was a perfect place for a first time visitor and I would recommend to friends and family who are looking for a relaxed and quiet adventure in Boothbay Harbor where lobster and clam chowder are just a walk away.
A perfect, cozy retreat just blocks away from downtown Booth Bay Harbor with all the comforts of home. Peaceful and quiet , we were able to unwind and relax and take in all the beauty of the Maine coast. The kayaks that were waiting for us in the backyard were the icing on the cake! Thank you Nan & Mac for sharing your tiny piece of heaven. We'll be back!! David & Lee-Ann
My daughter and I truly enjoyed our stay at Tiny House Cottage! The Cottage is adorable, very clean, quiet, and has a lovely view of the water (and if you're up early enough, a great view of the sunrise!). The cottage has a 1/2 bath in the unit, and guests are given private access to the lower level of the main house next door which contains a shower, patio with grill, and kitchen area. All in all, we had everything we needed. We loved using the kayaks, and enjoyed the short walk into the lovely town of Boothbay Harbor. We will definitely be back!
