The house and property are exactly as advertised and our family of 7 adults fit comfortably. Everyone enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding on the lake. Neighbors are really nice. Lake is quiet during the week and a bit busier on the weekends, but still only a few boats out at a time. We had a bit of rain so got in some family game nights. Not a lot to see/do in the surrounding area, but found some good restaurants. Really nice that owners provide drinking water as we weren't fond of well water. We'll definitely come back again.
We had a fabulous time! The host had paddle boards and kayaks we could use and was easy to get a hold of when you had a question. We would definitely rent again.
This home was not a good fit for our family of 7 adults. The bedrooms are small and the beds and bedding are older and worn. No one slept well which is disappointing when on vacation. There is only one bathroom even though the home has beds for 9. One bath was not enough to accommodate our group of 7. The toilet seat would not stay up for the men in the family…an annoyance. There were a few changes in floor levels between the hallway and family room, only a few inches and they were marked with caution tape, but it was still easy to stumble over them. The boat, which we paid extra to use, was difficult to start. The lake itself is very, small. You can see the entire lake from the any place on the lake. It’s listed as an all sports lake which made us think it would be larger…wrong assumption. All in all, we would not rent this home again because it’s not a good fit for our family. We had high expectations because of the high cost to rent. That cost led us to believe it would be a good fit for our group. This review would be better had the price matched the quality of the property and surrounding area.
Beautiful cottage on a beautiful lake with lots to do. Thank you!
Had a ball, house fit everybody comfortably. Outside was perfect, lake was peaceful. Inside was clean and comfortable, kitchen well stocked. Neighbors were friendly and the parking worked but tight.
The lake and house were very nice. The house had everything we needed. My only complaint is the chore list at the end of stay. I can’t remember staying at a house and having to clean the sheets and remake the bed, sweep, wash the floors, clean the bathroom, make sure the windows didn’t have fingerprints on it and wipe out all the appliances like the fridge and the toaster. By the time I cleaned the house I needed a whole other vacation,my son said we did all the chores except for the lawn. I’m not sure what the large cleaning fee was for.
This property was ideal for what our family wanted for a vacation. The bed mattresses were worn and uncomfortable, but besides that, we throughly enjoyed our stay.
Our family and friends stayed for a long holiday weekend and had a wonderful time. The pictures are very representative of the property. It is well-appointed on the lake, bright and cherry and one of the best properties on Little Twin Lake. The neighbors were very friendly and we enjoyed Cranky Hanks down the road for quick necessities. We loved the array of water toys and thought the Britta water cooler in the kitchen was an excellent idea. The water is metallic. We loved the deck and the pier. Overall, a nice stay. I would recommend refreshing the linens, rugs and textiles. Con is that it only has one bathroom, but hard to change that and doesn’t have a garbage disposal. The water pressure is very bad, especially when doing dishes. The yard attracts geese and although the owners cleaned it up before we arrived, the geese unfortunately hit the property badly before we got there. It is very nice they offer the pontoon boat, but it is a very small lake and probably for the high cost isn’t worth it. The engine and boat are very old and it was problematic to get it going and keep it going. I would recommend replacing the engine. Deb was very accommodating to my needs and I would recommend this property to friends who want an easy lakeside getaway.
We rented this lake house for the weekend. Deb was very accommodating and the house had everything we needed from toys to kitchenware. The lake is quiet and the kids were able to catch some great fish. The pontoon was perfect for fishing and just enjoying the nice weather. Highly recommend!
Perfect weather allowed use of water toys like kayaks, pontoon. The house was terrific and very comfortable.
