Our cozy retreat is a rustic, classic Plum Island cottage that sits on The Basin, with a private beach and stunning west facing sunset views over the water. The ocean trail is a block away, and you can be sitting on the beach in 5 minutes. For a fun bit of city life, downtown Newburyport is a 10 minute drive. Stayed Jun 14, 2025Our family loved our stay here. It has authentic New England beach house charm, upgraded with all of the modern amenities. The back porch has an incredible view of the sunset over the basin. Our kids loved going out into the basin when we weren’t doing a full beach day (but bring waterproof shoes with strong straps if you are going to walk into the basin!).

Stayed Aug 17, 2024A true cottage with loads of charm but with every convenience and a well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds and a gas fired “wood stove” came in handy for chilly mornings. But the best part is being right on the water and 2 blocks to the ocean. It is a tranquil and beautiful spot and Dave was responsive when I had a question. Would definitely go back again. Only caution is the stairs to second floor are steep and narrow.

Stayed Aug 3, 2024Our family of four had a lovely stay at this waterfront home. The cottage had what we needed. The outdoor shower, colorful furnishings, hammock, and comfortable sitting areas overlooking the tidal basin made for a very pleasant stay.

Stayed Aug 31, 2023Great Location! Gorgeous views off the back porch, hang for a phenomenal sunset. House is well appointed, kitchen, towels etc... Dave communicated everything clearly. Outdoor shower was awesome, beach a short walk away with the bay as your backyard! Would stay here again!

Stayed Aug 3, 2023David was very accommodating and his property was fabulous. Steps from the beach! Plum island is a great community away from the hustle and bustle!
