Very nice New England cottage on the water - about 5 minutes from the sound - Enjoyed our stay very much and would return
Adorable cottage in an ideal location. My dog thoroughly enjoyed it, too. The view of Grand Cove can't be beat. We were very pleased with the Tom Thumb cottage and look forward to returning.
A great location. The house was very comfortable. A great vacation. And would definitely come back!
The cottage is very cute. Definitely old and weathered but charming and cozy. Beautiful view. I’m not sure where the beach access is on the river near the property but it’s not directly in front of it as I thought. Very quiet neighborhood. I thought it was a good location in cape cod, about 30 minutes from Hyannis and Nauset. 1 hour from Provincetown. I did have to ask for the address and how to access the pool you could use because that was not clearly stated anywhere in the house. Property manager was easy to communicate with on Vrbo messaging and responded fairly quickly.
Overall a pretty good experience. This is my first time using vrbo. However I would not recommend with older children, as one bed is under an angled part of the roof and during the night my son (16) hit his head and arm more than once.
We had a fantastic time during our stay at this cabin on the water. The location was unbeatable - right by the water, and we loved swimming off the dock while enjoying breathtaking sunrises and sunsets each day. Fishing and crab-catching were also a blast! The cabin itself had all the essentials we needed, but it would have been even better if the kitchen had more basics like salt, pepper, oil, and vinegar. Nevertheless, we made the most of it and even tried the outdoor shower, which was a delightful experience. The layout of the cabin was great, with a lovely upstairs master and a perfect room with twin beds for kids. However, one downside was that the AC units inside seemed to have some mold due to the humid conditions, but we understand that this might be expected in such a location. Overall, I had an incredible time here, and the memories our family were great!
Very nice property. We loved the location.
Enjoyed Dennis
We had an amazing weekend in Cape Cod. We spent the weekend fishing from the pier and enjoying the beautiful weather! We liked it so much, we plan to be back next year!
We really enjoyed our stay in the Tom Thumb Cottage. It is a private and comfortable space, with great views of the cove. The kitchen had what we needed to cook. The smaller bedroom is good for one adult or two kids. We appreciated the short drive to West Dennis beach (5-10 minutes) and the close proximity to restaurants and pubs. It is a great location to easily explore the western and eastern most parts of Cape Cod.
o We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, well equipped cottage that's located on the Cove...perfect for gorgeous sunsets (if weather cooperates!) Chilly nights are comfy with a fireplace in the living room and bedroom. Audrey addressed any needs that arose immediately, which we appreciated. Even our dog enjoyed out stay!
the tom thumb cottage is a very nice old house, with a lot of charm. beautiful views very nice neighbors, my husband and i and our golden retriever enjoyed this place many times. the only thing i would recommend is that they get a new couch, and update the bathroom. bed was very comfortable, outside had nice table and chairs to see the grand cove. yards and dock were great, swimming also great! very close to everything. looking forward to coming back!
You can't beat the views out back for this spot. Lovely sunsets and such a peaceful environment. Our children spent so much time having fun off the dock and beach and our dog spent countless hours chasing little hermit crabs. The home is very cute and the air conditioners blessedly could keep up w the heat! The outdoor shower water pressure was fantastic too!
Great location. House was clean. Grandkids had a blast in the water.
Classic Cape Cod cottage on Grand Cove with access to a dock and next to town landing. Beautiful sunsets. My dog loved walking along the shorline during low tide.
Enjoyed our stay! The quaint home was adorable. The sunsets each night were beautiful. It had everything you’d need for making meals and relaxing. Really enjoyed the outdoor shower, used that more than the indoor. Having the boat slip (extra cost) was a great benefit. The furniture is a bit dated, but adds to the cabin charm. The host was very responsive and helped us solve an internet issue rather quickly. I wish that it had a washer and dryer, that would be perfect. Would stay again.
This property fully lived up to its hype on VRBO, which is rare, in our experience. The sunsets from the backyard patio, which we witnessed nearly every night, were remarkable and the dock proved a great launching pad for my first swim of the season in the Bass River. Our Standard Poodle, Puddle, enjoyed herself tied up in the shade beneath the dining table and lusting after the many rabbits that appeared in the grass in the early morning and at dusk. Rich, the maintenance guy, was terrific--responsive to our needs and making us laugh with his off-beat humor. We'll definitely be back! Becky & Stan
