Stayed May 25, 2025We stayed only two nights. The property is about 30 minutes outside of Oban at the edge of a smaller loch and just outside a small village. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, including when we had an issue (likely self-inflicted) with a washing machine. We would definitely stay again, and make time to stay longer and enjoy more of the area as well as the property’s many amenities. Strongly recommended.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is our second visit in the last twenty years and it did not let us down. The apartment was excellent ,very clean with all the facilities you need. The only problem we encountered was the onsite restaurant was closed. We understand it will reopen on the 19th of October under new management.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969First visit to Melfort Village and hopefully not our last! We stayed in the Walled Garden Complex and enjoyed comfortable and cosy accommodation with a great view of the loch. Great little restaurant on site. ...freshly prepared and reasonable food served by owner Kat who was a pleasure to deal with. The swimming pool was lovely and warm and had it to ourselves almost everyday... luxury! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.... great advertisment for Scotland. Thoroughly enjoyed our week there.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have visited Melfort Village many times over 25 years. It is is still a stunning location but standards have fallen in cottages - not as pristine as it used to be which is probably partly due to it being a very dog friendly place.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We very much enjoyed our stay in Walled Garden Mews 6. It has a delightful view over fields to the hills across Loch Melfort. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Upstairs there is a is a charming twin-bedded room adjacent to an open seating area (sofa bed) overlooking the open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen below. The master bedroom on the ground floor has generous clothes-hanging/drawers and a well appointed en-suite bathroom with over-bath shower and heated towel rail. Next door there is a good-sized shower-room with basin and WC, kept cosy by a heated towel rail. A wall mounted electric convector heater does a good job in keeping the master bedroom warm. However, the living area is mostly heated by electric storage heaters which are not so effective, given the high ceiling. We would have appreciated more information on how to set them to their optimum performance. There is an electric fire which provides a little heat and a comforting glow. I believe only 2 properties in the Walled Garden have log burners at present. The Wifi was excellent during our stay. However, we had no mobile phone signal and there is no landline phone within Mews 6. We did not use the swimming pool or recreation room with its snooker table and various games (The Gunpowder Room) but the facilities seemed in good condition. There was also a similar, smaller games room at the Walled Garden. The internal road from the reception, restaurant, tennis courts etc is well maintained but rather narrow so care is required when two vehicles need to pass. From the main road (A816) to the property, for over a mile it is a single track road along the side of Loch Melfort. Very picturesque but with few passing places so drive with care!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had an excellent holiday at Melfort Village. The surrounding area is very picturesque with views of the loch. We found the cottage extremely well equipped, and clean . A bonus was finding a games room right next door which my grandchildren made good use of in the evening. We would certainly go there again.
