Not quite what I thought. A property that is more a museum than a functional place to enjoy. The shower is a disaster in waiting, standing in a narrow bath with a shower curtin that restricts all movement.

What a beautiful place to stay! Excellent location and lots of interesting old books to read! The fact that they allow pets is a real bonus. Thank you so much for the warm welcome

It’s a magnificent property in an ideal location .. so well equipped and comfortable. The cleanliness was a problem .. dust everywhere, on books and items, dirty bathroom floor with clumps of dust and hair, marks on quilt cover in bedroom, dust and dirt on the floors in the corners of bedroom, some stained and old furniture… for the top peak price that I paid for two nights, this was disappointing

Lovely location. Beautiful cottage. Loved our bedrooms and the casual atmosphere of the cute house. Also great that there was a lot of condiments etc on offer. Really enjoyed the stay.

This place was stunning - heritage, lots of character, welcoming, peaceful Harbourside location in the historic area of the village. Very comfortable, exceptionally well equiped kitchen. Would definitely recommend.

The property was amazing, everytime you’ll find another amazing thing/object. Great bedrooms with own bathrooms, the best toiletries ever. Huge beds and just everything you need. Close to shops and eateries. Would love to return and enjoy it again.

We had a lovely time at The Villa Akaroa, it was a home away from home. Great kitchen for cooking your own meals and good spaces inside and out for relaxing. The only issue we had was the skylights above the beds made the bedroom to light early in the morning and would suggest installation of a remote controlled window shade on the inside of the window. Overall a very nice place.
