Stayed Dec 24, 2025We loved the cabin. The peace that exists in that place is unique. The cabin is surrounded by a landscape that looks like it was taken straight out of a work of art.The place is very well equipped and everything works properly. It is accessible and easy to find. The check-in and check-out process is very convenient. The owner always responded quickly to our questions. We truly found peace and were able to enjoy a wonderful rest. The only negative point: they charge 5 euros if you leave the trash instead of taking it with you. It’s a very small and insignificant detail, but I would prefer everything to be directly included in the price and to avoid those small surprises.Other than that, the place is excellent and highly recommended.

Stayed Nov 29, 2025My husband and I had a wonderful time at Bridge Cottage. We arrived late due to our flight being cancelled on the way over but Sue was very gracious and understanding. We grabbed the key from Miss Anne's house and checked in to the most peaceful and inviting environment. The sheep and goats welcomed us as we pulled in the drive. Everything about the cottage was great. Sue checked in on us periodically to make sure we were well and our whole experience was positive and rewarding. We loved the fire box and spent many evenings reading and sketching enjoying its warmth and glow. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to get away and truly enjoy the Irish countryside. Top notch!

Stayed Nov 7, 2025We had a lovely time staying in the cottage over a long weekend. The house was well-appointed and comfortable. It was in a good location for accessing shops in Donegal Town or more remote sights in other parts of the county. Sue was an excellent host, very accommodating and responsive. We would absolutely recommend booking a stay here.

Stayed Jun 26, 2025This cottage was just fabulous to stay at. It was as described and loved all the information left about the area and things to do. This was our second time we had stayed in the Donegal area and this cottage was perfect for a place to stay. My 12 year old son loved the sheep and made good friends with them!!

Stayed May 22, 2025We had a great experience staying in the cottage. It was comfy and cozy, we were very tired at the end of our long daily adventures and came back to quiet comfy beds! The sound of the water from the creek flowing was soothing and we enjoyed the distant sound of the sheep in the mornings. The sun rise is amazing! The traditional cottage was just that. We were given lots of instruction on how to run the water heaters and lights, the wood burning stove and enjoyed them.We recommend this cottage for a group of no more than (4) It was just right for the (3) of us adults.

Stayed Mar 29, 2025After we drove to pick up keys we went to the house. We went in unloaded some luggage and when we went back the door was locked with keys inside. Would have appreciated heads up about the door self locking behind you. Also no linens and towels. We had to drive back to contact’s house get a spare key and ask her to make beds and provide towels. She followed us back in her car and provided all necessities..

Stayed Nov 26, 2024The cottage was a great home base for exploring County Donegal. We were comfortable there and enjoyed being able to cook our own meals and sit by the fire in the evening. You can tell that the host has made an effort to provide the amenities that make one feel at home.

Stayed Oct 3, 2024What more could we have asked for! If you desire a stay in a thatched roof cottage with sheep in the yard this is for you. Toasty warm inside and well appointed for meals. A nice peaceful stay away from larger towns yet easy to drive to the beautiful sights. We bought laundry detergent but there was plenty already. Thank you Sue!

Stayed Sep 26, 2024We enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage! Plenty of room for 3 adults and nice to be able to spread out a bit. We loved the authentic feeling of the stove. Stayed Jul 27, 2024This cottage was perfect for me and my teenage daughter to explore Donegal county. It was centrally located so that we could go to the town of Donegal, Dunkineely, Slieve League, Ardara, Carrowmore, and the list goes on.… Beautiful mornings everything we needed inside the cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend! The sheep in the backyard where icing on the cake!
