Apartment for 2 - 5 people, 81 square meters, two bedrooms, large living room with TV, kitchen, bathroom with shower / toilet and a large, expansive terrace with a playground. The kitchen with a cozy dining area is equipped with ceramic hob, oven, microwave, large sink and a large fridge with freezer and an additional radio.
Our tenants are thrilled by the spacious living room, which has a comfortable sofa in front of a panoramic window, consisting of 3 glass elements reaching down to the floor, then the TV corner and a marble coffee table that invites you to coffee and cake.
From there the door to the large master bedroom, which can easily be converted into a triple room with an extra bed. The second bedroom, located next to the living room and its two single beds, is accessible from the kitchen; in addition - in the middle of the apartment - the bathroom with vanity, bidet, shower and toilet.
It is best to park your car on the street in front of the house (which is only traffic-restricted for residents). The house itself faces south and gives a clear view of the terrace in front of the living room and the small meadow that still belongs to the terrace, across the Bosbach surrounded by meadows and the row of villages beyond to the forested hills opposite. If you bring your dog (or dogs) with you, the meadow offers itself as a run.

We had trouble finding the house because of the new Center Parc which is being built nearby and roads had been closed and our sat nav became confused! However we did find it after asking a very kind German lady who spoke English! Apartment 2 is spacious and comfortable and is very well equipped with plenty of chairs, apart from the fact that there was no iron, which we needed as we had been 'on the road' for a week! The bathroom and shower were spotless and very good. The 2nd bedroom and the basement (where we were told there was a washing machine), were locked which we thought was wrong as we had rented a 2 bedroomed apartment. The owners came on the Thursday of our first week and opened the basement and got us a small travel iron. The basement was a godsend as the weather was awful and we could at least dry clothes indoors. It sounds as if I am obsessed with washing, but we were travelling on for over a week after this stay so needed clean clothes!! The very odd thing about the apartment is that there is a staircase within it which leads up to the upstairs apartment. This has a glass door (locked of course) which is not at all soundproofed. We could hear every word people upstairs were saying, especially if they were talking loudly (which during the second week there they did!!) This arrangement would be ideal if family or friends were sharing, but not so good for an individual family. The apartment is in a lovely quiet spot with beautiful views over the village of Gonnesweiler - we even saw a deer in the garden one morning. It is a short walk to the lake which is lovely. Because the weather was so wet and cold we couldn't take advantage of all the lake has to offer, but there is boating, sailing, windsurfing etc available. There is a patio area outside the living room which we used a few times. The 'garden' was very overgrown and although it looked pretty with wild flowers, the grass really needed cutting - for hay fever suffers it would be a nightmare as it was about 2ft tall. Be aware that the photos on the details for Haus Luise are of both apartments so it is a bit confusing as to which rooms you are actually getting but they are all nice and a good size. We had a lovely restful holiday in this comfortable apartment and would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet break. It was just such a shame that the weather was so unlike summer!
