Town: Ulverston has a cobblestone main street. It has independent shops, cafés, and pubs with open fires and real ales. Fine dining and tavern meals are both available. Stan Laurel was born there, and it holds the world record for the biggest foam pie battle, revealing a joyful, community-minded town. The town and surrounding area offer stunning views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. The deepest, widest, and shortest canal in the world, with a tavern at the end and views over the bay. All National Park attractions are accessible. Furness Coast has sandy beaches and birding. Nearby family attractions include the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Lakes Windermere and Coniston, and Birkrigg Common.

Thought the property and setting were very nice and not too far away from town/amenities.Apartment was well furnished and comfortable with games available onsite: pool table, boules etc. There were some shortcomings though which do need to addressed if I were to consider staying again though, namely the WiFi which was terrible and kept losing connection at regular intervals (which required re-registration and the bath water which was nowhere near hot enough (although shower and kitchen were fine). While I recognise that these apartments are self catering, providing some complimentary oil/salt/pepper would also be a nice touch for those who actually plan to cook during their stay.
