What a wonderful place to check into and make home straight away. The dog was thrilled with the gardens for snooping and exploring, and the kid was also pre-occupied the entire time we were there. Easy contact with the hosts, and all instructions clear, and we made the most of the gardens for afternoons in the sun. Some backyard cricket (thanks to gear in the house!) and walk to town (5 mins) was easy and down multiple times a day! The fireplace at night was brilliant (some marshmallows were had) and kept out the Oct chill. Last day was warmer than usual and the house stayed cool. Saw loads of birds and kept a keen eye out for wombats, but we weren't to be blessed with their presence this visit. Views stunning. Turned the telly on only once to watch some DVDs (hundreds at the house). Easy drive from Sydney. Will be looking to stay again!

When we arrived it had been raining a lot and the house was very cold and smelt damp. Once we got the fire roaring, however, the house warmed up beautifully and it was very cosy and comfortable.House was well stocked with everything we needed. Beds comfy, house clean, garden & bushland lovely, outdoor firepit great. The bathrooms are slightly old, however, good hot water & pressure & spa works well. Highly recommend!

Even though it rained on and off for much of the week we really enjoyed our stay at the Secret Garden Cottage. The lovely tranquil garden is huge and our two fur babies enjoyed the walks where the house block extends forever up the hill out the back. Park your car and stroll to all the KV shops. Pork cutlet from the Friendly Inn became a favourite. The house has a nice homely feel to it. Host, Will was easy to communicate with.

The property needs some updating. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, couldn’t really walk through the garden which was overgrown, board games all had missing pieces which meant they were fit for the bin. There are no smoke detectors which I understand are a legal requirement.

My children and I had a fantastic stay! I loved that we could bring our dogs too. The place was everything it promised and very comfortable. We would definitely come back. The only constructive feedback is that the laundry detergent bottle was empty, the pond had been drained so my young dog jumped in the sludge, and gardeners came while we were staying which was uncomfortable. But everything else was perfect and I highly recommend it! Thankyou ?
