The Red Hen Cottage-Asheville-with Hot Tub and EV charger!

We booked this for a girls trip! It is close to downtown, cute, clean & comfy!

The place was clean and in a prime location, close to everything. The host was very nice and great at communicating. The BBQ joint next to it was a nice plus!

The cottage is very sweet. Spacious enough for a family weekend getaway. The location is right behind the brewery, with a crowd and live music, but inside the house was still quiet. We had some issues on our first night. The outdoor lights were not working so we were unable to use the hot tub our first night, which was disappointing. The most off-putting issue we had was the dishes... numerous glasses, plates, and silverware were literally filthy. Clearly used and not washed, just put back in the cabinets. We arrived at the cottage after a day of driving and exploring and struggled to find clean dishes...big big yuck. At 5:45 am our first morning there the CO2/smoke detector woke up our entire family blaring unbelievably loudly for about 20 minutes because it hadn't been changed in 2.5 years. This is the kind of thing that rental properties need to keep track of. It was nearly impossible to turn the detector off, so we ended up placing it inside the washing machine just so we could get some sleep. The host was unresponsive over the vrbo app (frustrating), but was responsive via the phone number provided. On our second day the host came by to fix the lights and the ice maker (which also wasn't working when we arrived) while we were out, which made the second evening better, as we were able to enjoy the hot tub and outdoor space after dark. It's a good location, but don't expect perfection.

Clean and cozy!

Our hosts were super friendly and helpful in their initial welcome messages. The space is in a great spot next door to a local brewery, and not far from several other options along the river. The place was clean, and welcoming. We would stay there again.

Wonderful stay! Location was very close to downtown and a very cute coffee shop. The hot tub was very nice and clean, and the supplied tub towels were a hit. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, which we did but it was all too short!

Cute little house. Has all the amenities needed. Close to highways for brewery touring.

The place is comfortable and it served us well as a home base. As others mentioned, the bbq place next door shuts down at 9. There was a band playing pretty loudly until then on Saturday night.

Great location with clean property. The adjacent BBQ shack with brewery was a perfect bonus.

Clean, comfy, super cute, well appointed, hot tub.... Super comfy beds! What more could you ask for?

We cleaned the bathroom floor due to dust and spiderwebs in 3 corners. Had to brush off fuse box and bench on porch with broom due to cobwebs and bugs. House smelled musty and moldy. Couldn't turn on tv? Maybe batteries dead in remote? Windows covered in cobwebs and bugs on exterior and blinds broken with no way to open and close them without running hands up and down and then again dust! I will say beds were comfortable! I have never written a negative review and prob won't stay here again when in Asheville area.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway in this adorable cozy cottage! We enjoyed the brewery nearby and proximity to the River Arts District.

Cute house and yard. Nice walking trail nearby. We all enjoyed our stay.

We visited Asheville with our 4- and 6- year old boys and this was a great place to stay! Super close to lots of fun attraction's. Check out Riverside Rhapsody and have some brisket! So delicious and fam friendly!

We loved our stay at the Red Hen. And with three smaller kids the fenced in yard was perfect! The cabin was very spacious and well equipped for everything we needed. Kitchen, large bathroom, W&D, yard, hot tub you name it. And the Beer & BBQ place next door was a great surprise, we walked over a few times and the food was great. All in all would HIGHLY recommend the Red Hen. Derek Pease and family

Cute roomy cottage. well appointed with everything you need… really everything! Great barbecue and brewery place right next door. I highly recommend.
