The Red Haus beautiful lakeview home on Okanagan Lake, W Kelowna, La Casa Resort

The Red Haus is fully licensed and set overlooking gorgeous lake Okanagan in a private and gated, family geared all seasons resort. The approx 1400 sq ft open floor plan cottage is on the lake side of the resort with short walking access to the lakeshore and marina in a private resort community called La Casa and is a 25 min drive up the lake from the nearest town of west Kelowna.

The cottage has one of the best and beautiful panoramic views of lake Okanagan on the spacious deck andthe vineyards on the opposite shore. It is a beautiful and serenely decorated space for the ultimate place to unwind and relax. The deck is the place to be with one of the most amazing views in the resort. Enjoy the fire table lounging area in the fall with a blanket and a cozy drink to warm by the fire while eagles soar by or in the summer for fireside long visiting chats taking in the sailboats by day and at night, the stars put on a show ✨

The main floor is open with a great room concept, vaulted ceiling and full kitchen with large island. This allows for everyone to be together whether sitting in the comfy living room or around the table that easily seats 8 playing games or talking over a meal.

The kitchen is facing the deck and the view beyond. Appliances (including dishwasher) fully stocked utensils, knives, cutting boards, steak knives, dishes, glasses, wine glasses, decanter, plastic deck glasses, pots, pans, cooking sheet, pizza sheet, roasting pan, serving trays, kids dishes and cups are all here for your use. From cooking a full turkey dinner to BBQ grilling outside and simple meals, you have what you need to make it happen.

A Coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar is here for you with a kettle, tea offerings, tea steeping options, Kuerig (re usable pods for eco friendly), French press and pour over to suit your style. There is a store in La Casa called the Market and they also have more coffee and tea offerings for purchase.

The main floor also has the main full washroom and the main floor bedroom with comfy cotton linens on the queen bed, closet and gorgeous lake view.

Laundry is a stacking unit on main floor with eco friendly washing detergent and wool dryer balls for use.

Upstairs, the loft bedroom has a vaulted ceiling with queen bed with comfy cotton linens, closet, smart TV and gorgeous view of the lake.
Above the queen bed is a loft accessed by a loft ladder staircase. In the loft are two comfy twin beds complete with cotton linens and lights for reading. There is also a fold out sleeping pad for the floor for children who are too young to sleep in the loft. Due to safety using the staircase, children 7 years old and up (and of course adults) can use the loft. ***Adults assume risk of use for children no matter what age

Next to this is the large primary bedroom with spectacular view, a comfy king size bed made with breathable cotton linens (and a convertible twin bed for any children who may want to sleep near their parents). The bedroom also has a dresser, and wardrobe for use in unpacking clothes for your stay if you wish. There is also a work space with desk with view of the lake and a large smart TV.

Upstairs also has the second full washroom complete with soaker tub.

Towels, facecloths and hand towels provided. Shampoo and conditioner, body soap, hand soap and hair dryer also available. Beach towels (located in the bottom of the coffee bar) for all outside the cottage use are also here for your use

The Cottage has 3 smart TVs and quick wifi for access to your devices and applications on the smart TV's. There is a book collection for quiet reading on the couch or on the deck with some children’s book selections. There is also decks of cards, games, poker set and board games for fun together time.

The deck is amazing and boasts one of the nicest views available in this resort. Watch the sunrise over the mountains ahead with your fav morning coffee or tea over the opposite shore where light cascades down the vineyards and onto the lake and the deck. In the early afternoon, the sun passes overhead and the deck has full shade to watch the evening arrive. Al fresco evening dining in the warm months here feels like it could be on the Mediterranean as you watch the sun set on the opposite shore vineyards and the dusk approach.

Enjoy the gas fire table with good company and conversations and on clear nights the conditions are great for star gazing enthusiasts and sky buffs alike.

There are a few exterior cameras on the premises for security as well including doorbell cameras.

The heated pools and hot tubs, mini golf, tennis and pickle ball courts, floating water park areas (usually open around end of May and close mid September) fenced in playground are open in the warmer months. Usually the pools and hot tubs, and most amenities are open for the season by end of May and closed by Canadian thanksgiving. There is an onsite general store and restaurant serving cocktails and casual fare for the nights you don't feel like cooking.

***A note that currently there is a boil water advisory for the entire resort. To take care of our home and our guests we have newly installed a premium water UV and filtration purification system at the house in 2025. This ensures that no matter what the situation for the resort, we can ensure our home and guest experience will be a good one.***.

The cottage sits in the midst of Fintry park, a 360 hectare park and a nature lovers paradise 25 mins drive up the lake from W Kelowna. With beautiful hiking trails across the la Casa development and gorgeous view point with places to eat and take in the views. If a guest has an EV or a golf cart, they can talk to host about plugging in (but only can be charged overnight) and must let host know if going to do so. The front door outlet is the one to be used for charging. The side door outlet is not to be disturbed, thank you for your help with this.

Fintry park official entrance is a 5 min drive from la Casa and offering many outdoor activities to enjoy including a waterfall hike that is beautiful to enjoy.

The Okanagan is wine country. There are some of the best wines in the world made here in this region and the cottage is surrounded by vineyards from a 20 to 30 min drive away to suit your preferences. There are wine tours that will pick you up, drive you around and drop you off safe at home. For info just ask!

For those who are more geared towards craft breweries, West Kelowna (about 30 minutes away) offers a great selection of destinations to visit. Vernon (about 40 minutes away) also offers some great options to try as well.

Grocery delivery is a snap here at the cottage. Order from save on foods in west Kelowna and get your whole order delivered for the next morning after you arrive for less than $8 dollars. This is a great service that allows you to spend your time getting into vacation mode and not delaying your relaxing time by having to worry about shopping before you get here.

In the warmer months, golf carts are available for rental as well as paddle boards and kayaks. Please ask host about options. The beach area is accessible to golf carts but not cars. Cars will park at the lower parking lot close to the beach and water park area, about a 5 min walk to beach area along a trail.

The beach is a rocky natural beach so water shoes for little ones and adults is recommended.

The dog beach is located at the lower parking lot with a marked staircase down to the beach.

Boat-trailer parking is first come first serve in designated areas around the resort ( not parking in one of these areas results in a fine). Marina slip rental is organized by the management company and a link can be provided to set up a slip rental by contacting them. We prefer to go to Fintry park (is a 5 minute drive away) where there is a large boat launch for ease of use.

Currently, there is some work being done to replace the two lower hot tubs which has been delayed so the lower pool area and hot tubs may not be accessible at the time of your stay. Upper pool and hot tub area will be open as usual and all other amenities.
