Kerrville, Texas

You enter The Mission from the front patio into a bright, open-concept living space with a small dining area and a well-stocked kitchen adjoining. Off of the main living space is a full bathroom that will be stocked with fresh towels. The Mission would comfortably sleep up to four adults. The home has two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen size bed and a rather large closet with hanging space. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, a letter desk and a smaller closet with a few shelves available. There is sufficient parking for 3 or more cars in the rock driveway and possibly more available spaces along the road. In the living room, there is a Roku smart TV that has Spectrum TV for channel flipping and free streaming channels preloaded, allowing you to access shows, movies and music. Guests may also load their own subscription channels such as netflix.
If you venture outdoors, there's even more to enjoy. Right out the front door is a wonderful patio with a fire pit, table and seating, a great space for relaxing, having your morning coffee, reading, visiting, or having a meal or cocktails. The yard is beautifully landscaped with mostly native, edible and medicinal plants, and it's common to see many birds, squirrels, deer, and occasionally other wildlife visiting the property. Children and adults alike may have fun swinging on the red swing in the front yard. The neighborhood's windy streets are popular with walkers. If you take a stroll around the neighborhood, you will be rewarded with hill-top views, look at many unique homes and limestone rock work. The Methodist Encampment neighborhood is an eclectic mix of old and new, and home to many artists, musicians and writers, among others. It's common to see neighbors out talking with each other or getting together on someone's patio for food, drinks, fellowship and music.

Wonderful place to stay!
It was o.k. Needs some maintenance. However, the theme was impressive. Still had a good stay with family.
Totally enjoyable & perfect at vrbo
Very cute home on a very quiet street. Really enjoyed our stay at the Mission in Kerrville. All amenities were available and Stephanie was available as needed and had quick responses to our questions. Will definitely stay here again in the future.
Everything was perfect-we enjoyed the neighborhood, the community, the deer every morning and evening, everything about it!
The attention to detail at this property was impressive. The space was clean, the kitchen well- stocked and the beds comfortable. The outside space was delightful, as was the neighborhood. 5 star experience!!
Great comfortable property. Artfully restored home and decorated very nicely. Excellent accommodation for our Christmas 2022.
We had such a good time. Perfect experience all around. Unique rental with lots of personality.
My sister and I wanted a few days to decompress and just catchup. This was the perfect place! Accommodations were clean, quiet and very relaxing. The neighborhood is so cute, unique homes and very quiet too! We hope to get to come back soon!
the property was immaculate, well supplied, and very comfortable. My husband and I have stayed there twice! I highly recommend!
We had an amazing stay and we look forward to coming back
The Mission was a very comfortable residence with all the amenities for a vacation home located in the secluded Methodist encampment community. We will definitely return to the Mission on our next vacation to Kerrville, TX.
We loved the little Mission casa and the neighborhood. comfy clean eclectic
My friend and I, visiting Kerrville for a week to participate in an archeology dig, were very happy to find that our house was all it was advertised to be and more! First, the surrounding neighborhood is a collection of interesting houses, all in different styles and colors and very well maintained. We enjoyed several evenings sitting outside on the patio enjoying the birds and deer, and relishing the absence of city noise! The house itself is small, but well furnished and very clean, and is perfect for 2 or 3 guests. A great place for a getaway in unusual surroundings!
The home was even better than we expected! So eclectic! We had to cancel our original trip because of a death in the family. We could have lost all the money we had already paid but instead, management worked with us not charging any extra fees or penalties! We were able to re-book with ease !
Property was just as advertised. The house is cozy and the front patio was great for grilling after a day of riding the hill country.
I loved my stay here. The surrounding area is beautiful. I went on multiple walks daily. The many birds and deer were so beautiful and peaceful. This was exactly what I was looking for and needed. Stephanie was always very responsive to my messages and replied very quickly. My one complaint is the bed (I would have taken off 1/2 a star, but that isn’t an option, and the bed issue does not make it 4 stars). I did not find it comfortable (didn’t try the other one as I like to close the door to my bedroom and there was no door.) Everything else was absolutely perfect. Thank you, Stephanie!!
Great location and home
We give this place a 10 out of 10! The property owner was amazing at communicating with us. We were there for a Regional Tennis Tournament so we didn't get to stay at the house as much as we wanted because we were at the courts all day but easy drive to everything we needed to be at. We did find time to enjoy the outdoor firepit one evening. Amazing details to the home with perfect touches of decor that were a perfect fit. Very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Scenery was amazing- live deer all around. I can't wait to go back!
