We had a lovely time. The cabin had a beautiful view and every amenity we would need. We took our two pups and there was even a puppy park within walking distance. Great location and great communication.

Was dirty not clean. Smelled that burned our nose and mouth. Bedding was old and dirty, dirt everywhere, unsafe porch had large hold in wood, grounds were not kept up . This did not looking like the picture . I texted the owner he asked what problem was I told him but he never answered me . He told me it was rustic . No it was an old house that needed renovations . Terrible we had my 93 yr old mother in law with us and she to was afraid to be there. We left alter same night we arrived. The area was very unkept .

Beautiful property right on the river, Jason was beyond helpful answering all questions and concerns. We absolutely loved our stay and made our parents Old Forge lovers, already booked our trip for next fall at this location. Would also be a fabulous stay for anyone with children, absolutely kid friendly. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us and see you next year!!!

Very pleased with the property. Short walk to the grocery store and into the village. Very quick response from the host to our one ( minor ) issue. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was clean, the view and location were both lovely. The outside decking was in some slight disrepair but nothing that felt unsafe.I love that it is pet friendly so I didnt have to leave my fur babies behind!Jason is very responsive and easy to work with.

Enjoyed our stay in a family and pet friendly setting. Found the home clean and a host available, if needed (nothing was needed!) Grandkids loved the kayaks. If you like what you see in the photos, it's even better in person!

Exactly as described. Awesome location, felt secluded but you could walk to town and restaurants. Loved having the kayaks available. Beautiful scenery, coffee and wine on the dock every day was so relaxing. Highly recommend, would definitely stay here again.

Nice that was close to everything in Old Forge. Otherwise, not somewhere I will stay again. There were mice in the kitchen that ate through our food the first night, so we had to throw away a bunch of it. Very sticky floors and very dirty! Towels in bathrooms and everywhere where not even hung up, I had to find them myself in the dryer and hang them up. The outside was messy with deck and surround areas with a bunch of and twigs and leaves on it. Ac upstairs would not work, my brother tried for an hour but couldn’t get it to work. We messaged Jason and he responded in a few words saying to set it to the right mode and temperature (duh we tried that, but that doesn’t help Jason!). To summarize my wide and I dod not feel at home, and always on the edge of while staying here for 2 nights.

This home was perfect for the family. It is located on a quiet, dead end street. Four bedrooms and plenty of communal space. Our favorite part was the back deck leading out to Moose River for some great fishing. The kitchen had all essentials and the bathrooms were nicely updated. While there were some new renovations, it still had the old rustic charm we like. The property owner was responsive and friendly. Can’t wait to stay again.

We had an amazing stay! Jason was a great host and had the house fully (yes, fully!) stocked with everything we could have needed for a great stay. He provided just about everything necessary for our young children (high chair, outdoor & indoor toys, sleep safe equipment, etc!). The check in/out process was seamless, communication was often & effective and the house itself was beautiful. It is kept nice and could not be in a better location. Just a few minutes walk from the main strip while simultaneously secluded and quiet, right on the water. My husband and son got to feed a momma deer and her baby one evening which just eludes to the calmness of the area. We would love to stay again!

Very convenient location quick walk into the village. The house was clean and well stocked and very beautiful with lovely art work. If you have a little one, everything you need is there (ours is one) so it's a lot less you have to pack. Our six year old nephew LOVED his room with the bunk beds, the kids books and toys. The owners are quick to respond and answer any questions you might have. We had a great time kayaking. Can't wait to stay here again.

The location was great and convenient to the town of Old Forge. It was beautiful being on the river. The house layout and open concept was perfect. The only issue was the cleanliness that were weren't pleased with

The cottage was beautiful! Very clean and in very nice shape! The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was very spacious and we absolutely love the back deck. It had a beautiful view of the river. The cottage was on the end of the street and it was very peaceful and relaxing! The walk into town was about 5 minutes which made it so nice to be able to walk everywhere! We definitely would stay here again! The host communicated in a very timely manner within any questions we had! Definitely a five star place!!! Highly recommend !!

Booked for 7 nights but left early. Place had mice crawling on the counters, ants in the silverware drawer and leaking pipes into downstairs shower. Floating dock was secured with one set of bolts with boards falling off. This property was not what I saw in the pictures. Honestly it looked like it hadn't been kept up for at least a few months, if not longer. When I talked to the owner about the mice his response was, Is that a problem? Well yeah, for the price I paid I didn't expect to be scraping up mouse droppings and clearing traps. We were offered a different rental, but its location was not near Old Forge, which was our main point for selecting this property. When we informed the owner we were leaving early because of the problems we asked for a one night refund and were ignored. Anyone considering this property should request updated pictures and a certificate from an exterminator saying the house is clear of mice.

The location of the cabin was perfect. The back porches overlooked the river making for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen was not very well equipped: missing any mixing bowls, Spatulas, and working can opener. The stand alone AC could not keep up with the need. A few more chairs for the dinning table would be helpful. We had a lot of towels and a good washer/dryer, but no wash cloths or hand towels.

We stayed with our family for a long weekend. The house is in a great location on the river, quiet, and has accommodation to make everyone feel comfortable, including our two year old son and small dog. The sandbox and toys were a big hit with the toddler! The main complaints were that it was pretty dusty in some spots, the high chair was still dirty and the kitchen was lacking a few pieces. Also, the two air conditioners really struggled (outside temps were in the low 80s). The fans helped, though. What did not help was the downstairs radiators for some reason were generating heat even though they were supposedly turned off. Other than that, it was apparent that Jason took care of some of the complaints left by the previous reviewer. In general we had a good stay!
