Great place to stay and so close to so many things to do!! The Christmas lights at the court house and at the gas company were amazing!! The wrapped trees at the gas company were stunning!! Easy jump off for all the wineries on 290 and easy drive to Fredericksburg but, were trying to figure out if we need to go there or just hang out in Johnson City. Johnson City is such a nice little town and so much more is there in just the last few years! Great place and we would come back again! Thanks!
Katy was a wonderful hostesss. We loved the place and the accessibility to the wineries in the area. Highly recommend this place for family and friends looking to explore.
Getting in the house was difficult every time. The lock on the door was so hard to get to open. The scariest part was that the owner doesn't change the code for each guest!!!!!! The code is in the laminated info that was in the house, so I know she doesn't ever change it. That is HORRIBLE and very dangerous! The house is dark, not a lot of lights. I was lucky that the weather was warm because the heating units in the house were so scary looking, t hey were old. The house is on the main road next to a gas station, not a great location. The house was clean and nice size rooms. It was filled with interesting very eclectic decorations.
The two bedroom cottage was cute, comfortable, and was a good place for us to stay. The owner was very nice and helpful.
My sister and I went to Johnson City for a weekend away. We had the best time! The house was fantastic! Everything from the location to the decor to the atmosphere of the house was wonderful. We will be back and highly recommend for future adventurers!
This charming little farmhouse was great for a getaway to visit family who live nearby. The host, Katy Jane, communicated well with us and provided FAQ's as you enter the door. A well stocked Kitchen provided everything we needed to make our own breakfast each morning. The host provides ample towels for the bathroom. As I am into makeup and lighting, I used the mirror found on the bathroom ledge and opened the window shade in the morning to give me great lighting. The a/c was nice and cold and that is important to me for getting restful sleep. I recommend bringing your own hangars for anything that needs to be hung, as there were not any. There is also presently no wifi here but we were able to tether off our phones to quickly go through work emails when we woke, so not a big deal. We would definitely stay here again. :)
Cottage was roomy and worked great for our family visit. The fenced in yard was a safe place to be with our puppy and seating area was shaded to be outside and out of the sun.
This wonderful guest house is the perfect jumping off point for a Texas Wine Trail adventure. The host, Katy Jane, is so gracious! The decor and accoutrements are perfection. Great beds with good pillows and cozy linens. Everything you need in the kitchen. Cozy, relaxing and, oddly, quiet! (It's right on 290). The backyard was a perfect romp for our 95 lb. dog, who travelled with us. Don't miss the wine tasting at Farm House Tasting Room. We loved that too. Max (the dog) curled up at our feet and we enjoyed great wines and good conversations with a friendly, down to earth and knowledgable staff who made you feel as if you were sipping awesome vintage in someone's home. We will definitely be back. We'd give it 6 stars if we could. Thank you, Team Katy Jane! from Max and his Humans
We had such a wonderful stay. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable. We loved being able to walk everywhere. The Farmhouse Vineyards had the best wines and they could not have been any more delightful!! We are so thankful to have been able to spend my mom's 70th birthday in Johnson City!
