Beaches:
Brewster is known for the sunsets, seascape, hiking, kayaking, and stripe bass fishing! “Brewster is one of those gems that seems to have been built for the pail-and-shovel crowd, who lounge in the tidal pools or scramble to find fiddler and horseshoe crabs. Plan to be there at high tide, or you may have to walk a mile to get from the beach to the water’s edge.”
Extremely private and quiet, only a 10 minute walk to a popular beach.
This was the 4th year renting this cottage and I hope there will be many more to come. We keep coming back because the house has everything we need (and then some), it's in a great area of Brewster (walkable to Paines Creek) and Ian is absolutely wonderful to work with. This cottage is clean and it's a reliable listing. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home for a week every summer. I feel like it is part of our story now too :)
We had a wonderful time fly fishing on the Brewster flats celebrating our 30th anniversary. We had our kids for a few days as our son prepared to get married next month. The Cape has always held special memories and fun times for all of us. This cozy house was centrally located and allowed us to make day trips and walk to fishing spots in the evening.
My family had a wonderful stay at Ian & Carrie’s cute cottage. This was our second summer renting this property and would recommend it to small families that want a safe and quiet place that is close to everything. Really appreciate the host allowing us to check in early too. Outstanding experience!
We had the best time in your lovely home!
Cute Property. Accessible to everything. Luckily we drove so we could bring sheets, towels etc. Noticed in the guest book that people came from far and wide. Don't know how they brought bedding etc. Definitely would stay again.
The house was adorable. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into the needs of their guest. We enjoyed our stay. I think it is a little silly not to offer sheets and towels. When you travel by plane it’s tough to bring. Last thing you want to do is shop for sheets and towels. All and all we had a great time.
We had such a great time. We visited from ATL and Ian was also quick to communicate and gave us so many awesome recommendations on things to do. The cottage was adorable! It was very homey, comfy, and had everything we needed and more. I loved the little touches like the local menus, “incase you forgot something” Basket, the games and books for all ages, the spare umbrellas, etc. We wouldn’t have changed a thing. Awesome layout and nicely decorated. Very well stocked kitchen for cooking too! Location was great, it was easy to find, and owners were very nice and helpful. I’d definitely recommend it and we can’t wait to go back!
Third year and as happy as the previous. Especially love the layout, outdoors and location. Bright and sunny beautiful cottage. We hope to be back Thanks for sharing your home!
Ian's house has become our annual family vacation spot because it has everything we want and need in one beautiful ocean cottage. We love Brewster because it's a bit quieter than many other towns with a great personality and a wonderful selection of restaurants and shops. We always pick up something at Lemon Tree Pottery for our home and my daughter adores the Toy Shop around the corner. The cottage is amazingly well kept, the backyard is perfect for relaxing and we love the outdoor shower! Thank you Ian for anther terrific year of great memories!
Perfect house for a family with young adults. Comfortable sleeping arrangements, two separate seating areas. Kitchen had everything we needed. AMAZING outdoor space and SHOWER!! Can’t beat this location. Easy walk to Paine’s Creek beach especially at sunset when parking is tight. Ian was responsive at available, although we had no real issues. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Very well maintained home. Located close to shops, restaurants and the beach.
Very nice house. Well equipped kitchen. The dining room has sliding doors to allow for quiet meals even when people are playing in the living areas. Assortment of games for younger children. The two bedrooms are very separate and quiet. The outside grounds are very neat, well maintained and sunny. A great outdoor shower. The location is really great. A ten minute walk down to Paine's Creek Beach (vert interesting tidal effects). If you enjoy fried seafood and ice cream the house is basically around the corner from Kate's. a great place but usually busy.
Such an awesome week for our family of 4! Paine's Creek Beach was perfect for our 3 and 4 year old kids, and the house was just the best! Thank you Ian!
My family of four was very pleased with this cottage and felt right at home. Ian and Carrie went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and even reached out mid week to see how we were doing. Some of the items we really liked having access to were beach buckets and shovels, wi-fi w/smart TV (connecting Netflix via QR code took less than a minute - and logging out took even less time) laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, outdoor gas grill, outdoor shower, variety of games (Tin Can Alley was our favorite), books, etc. This cottage is so well laid out… My husband and I could watch boys playing in the backyard or in the family room while making dinner because of the clean sight lines. The dining room and small sitting area was my favorite place to sit. It is decorated with functional barn doors, which look great and also helped give privacy/quiet from the other rooms when sitting down with a book. I love the windows in this area of the cottage and how it overlooks the stone walkway and yard. Very peaceful lane in great area. Paine’s Beach is a short walk and we visited twice a day. We could walk to Kate’s and also liked being close to the Pizza Shark. We can’t wait to return to Ian and Carrie’s cute cottage again next year!
Beautiful little house in a great location. We loved it. Don't forget to bring your linens! Fortunately, stores are not far. Ian was very easy to get in touch with when needed.
