This three bed cottage is located on the Wild Atlantic Way on the spectacular Beara Penninsula in West Cork. Situated on one acre of rustic private land, the house is nestled between the Caha mountains and the waters of Bantry bay and offers panoramic sea and mountains views. The location allows for the perfect mix of being immersed in nature and yet a quick 5 minute drive from the pretty town of Castletownbere where you will find all amenities.

The house is ideal for families and comfortably sleeps 6 but can also accommodate 8. There is a large fully equipped kitchen with patio doors. A large living room and dining space with panoramic seaviews and an open fireplace. The large master bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite shower room. The large family bedroom has sea views and has a double bed and a queen bed. The third double bedroom also has seaviews. The house includes a second shower room just off the hallway. There is a large patio area to the front of the property where you can catch the sunrise and sunset over Roaring Water Bay and Bere Island. It is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and relax after a day of outdoor activities including mountain walks, sea swimming, kayaking, golf, horse riding, hiking, and sailing.

The rugged Beara Peninsula has maintained its status as one of Ireland’s best kept secrets in a small part because its winding rural roads are too narrow for tour buses. This makes it a very special place and has some of the most breathtakng scenery in the world. Witness Exotic greenery, which can survive the Irish winters thanks to the warm Gulf Stream.

The house is less than 2km from the bustling village of Castletownbere where you will find all amenities including a supermarket, restaurants, pubs, cafes, butchers, fish mongers, delicatessin, health food store, medical centres, post office, shops etc. Known as Ireland's fishing capital, if you are a fish or seafood fan, this is the haven for you. Drop in to the famous MacCarthy's Bar, which has been in the same family for 150 years, and enjoy a pint.

What a lovely place to stay! We were a group of 7 girls here for a long weekend in February and we absolutely loved it. The cottage was a perfect base for Bere Island and a night out at mccarthy's. The terrace was stunning with sun flowing in to the living room all day! We ate in a lot too as the kitchen was really well stocked with equipment and spices. Thanks Rercy :)

We had a very enjoyable stay. Very good communication, great views and walks locally. The house was home from home and was well fitted out with all you could need. Even the weather was excellent which was an added bonus

Unbelievably dirty. Clogged hair in the shower drain, mildew on the shower curtain. Bed and sofa chairs beyond their useful life, Broken door latch. Lights not working, caked mud in the washing machine, dryer lint screen full, house in need of a full cleaning. Landscaping has not been attended to in years. No hot water in kitchen. Shocked the authorities let this place get rented. Nice view.

I ll start with the positive the views are absolutely breathtaking. However thats where the positives end .upon arrival we noticed the unkept grounds around the property old cooker behind the house plus old tables at the side ,not a safe environment for children . Once we entered the property the first thing we noticed was a strong smell of damp which seemed to linger on the soft furnishings and bedding. The handle on the patio door and bedroom window fell off in my hands when I opened them. The light was hanging off outside. Overall we were extremely disappointed . the internet was intermittent and when we addressed the problems with the host they tried to sort the internet but ignored our other concerns stating that the handles werent broken when we arrived!!!!! Old dirty razor was left in bathroom and we were told that we shouldn't have opened the patio door the TV in bedroom was cracked which the host knew about but chose to leave it like this. Old shower gel and shampoo bottles left in shower room and you couldn't have two showers running at the same time BBQ dirty. We left the property early due to all these issues The property could be amazing with some TLC .but overall a really bad stay.

The pictures can’t do the property justice. The views are absolutely stunning and the sunrise and sunset in the winter can be seen from in the house itself. The kitchen is spacious and the bedrooms were nice and cozy. The WiFi was fast and perfect for someone looking to get work done. I will definitely be back to stay.

We had a very plaisant stay in the cottage. The house was clean and ready to welcome us. We had everything we needed for cooking (the frying pans are very used and should be changed), thanks for the choice of spices! The view is amazing and the terrasse comfortable. We were a bit disappointed by the garden wich is not cut and full of brambles... The check in and check out were very easy, and the communication with the owner very fast and easy. Thanks for the informations leaflets left in the house! We globaly had a very comfortable stay!

Had a great 5 day stay in this bungalow on the Beara peninsula! The cottage was comfortable and peaceful, located high on the hillside with a view across to Beara island. Provided a great base to explore the area and Rercy provided a lot of useful information for activities and dining out.
