Straits View Shores on Lake Huron

Great location and very clean.

Had a wonderful stay! Very family friendly and clean, rooms were comfortable. Very spacious and private although close to Mackinaw city , Mackinac Island and Charlevoix. Excellent time had by all!!! Highly recommended!

It was clean, well kept, organized, great view, lots of options for activities if you wanted. We mainly just slept here and went out and saw Michigan. It was comfortable and great for that though.

Beautiful home

Nice place to stay and the location was excellent to see all the sights around Mackinac Island and the surrounding area. Views of Lake Huron, “the Might Mac” bridge was also wonderful..

The Location was great very close to Mackinaw City. Super View of Mackinac Island. Clean and very nice. It was listed as a four bedroom. Not true, 3 bedroom and a single bed at the top of the stairs. The property Manager Diane Moreno was completely unresponsive to contact, So she gets a one star review from me.

We stayed last year & enjoyed it very much. This year was ok but not as wonderful. The listing shows a king bed but the new mattress is a queen and we look for a king bed as one of our requirements. The cords for the blinds are frayed and they either need to be restrung and the blinds replaced.With that said, this is still a good vrbo. If a king bed replaces the queen, we would stay again.Also, I recommend that the deck be transformed to one that is screened. We both are originally from MI so we are used to the mosquitos but a screened deck would be a fantastic add.Also, the agent for the property is great.

My family just loved this property.Check in was simple, house was just as advertised, actually it was better!!Very clean, kitchen/dining area was spacious & well stocked. Outdoor grounds had that Up North feel we were looking for and the Lake Huron/Mackinac Bridge/Mackinac Island views from the beach were amazing. We are looking forward to booking another get away at this gem of a property.

Great location, very clean, upscale rental with rustic decor. Thoughtfully stocked with movies, games, books. Beautiful view from house and deck of Lake Huron and the Mighty Mac.

The house and back yard was everything we could have wanted and more for our family. It was cozy, inviting, and had all the little things you need for your stay. We will be coming back!

Amazing! The property is wonderful. 3 bedrooms and a loft space with a single bed (twin). 2 baths. Right on the lake. Private and secluded for a relaxing vacation. There are stairs down the deck to the water, keep in mind for kids or elderly. The hosts are thoughtful and have a gate at the top which was lovely. Bring your big spray, sun screen, swim suits and enjoy all up north has to offer. Clean property which is always a must.

It was a nice stay so much better than a hotel. Could use a few things. Like cushions on patio chairs, newer chairs for a around the beach they are dry rotted and bench had stufff seeping out of it couldn't sit on it. Needs grass cut or weed wacked so you could see the rock formed steps near the house. Rooms were big, kitchen needs organizing to find things easier. Honestly though we did enjoy our stay and was centrally located to everything we wanted.

We had a fantastic time staying at this property for our family vacation to Michigan. The house was very clean and came equipped with everything we needed. The kids loved going out back for a swim after our day of running around/site seeing. The location was perfect for all the activities we wanted to do (Paradise was 1.2 hrs north, Munising about 1.5 hrs north, Torch Lake 2 hrs south, right next to Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, and St. Ignace). We absolutely loved our stay and would not hesitate to book again should we find ourselves headed that way in the future.

The house was the perfect size for us- mattresses were nice. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals in. The weather wasn't that great but we did utilize some time sitting with friends down at the beach. The location was centrally located to Cheboygan which is where the guys fished out of daily. Mackinac City was a short jaunt as well for dining and shopping. We would rent again.

Awesome place

Great house on lake. Needs some things though. Upstairs mattress bad, low water pressure throughout house. Grill not in good shape, light by back door keeps flicking. Porch flood light to front yard works but only stays on 30 sec motion dector. Did not supply enough papers products. Many miles of trails across st was not assessable. But don’t let this detour you from staying here.

This place is amazing. Like your own piece of heaven. The house was clean and had everything you could think of to make our stay perfect.

Had a great vacation. I can make a couple of suggestions. 1. The house could use a Keurig coffee maker. 2. Some instructions on how to watch the TV would be helpful. I spent most of my time looking for things. LOL.

Window by back door does not lock, Furnace makes noise

Exactly what you’d picture when you think “Michigan summer getaway” beautiful and homey with a lovely beach. We also met the neighbor dog - a bonus! Definitely recommend and would stay here again!

The views were amazing as you look out the kitchen you can see the Lake Huron! You can also see the beautiful Mackinaw bridge from the beach and the island! The bridge looks cool at night all lit up!

Overall this was a great stay. Beautiful view of Lake Huron and the kids had fun looking for rocks. Lots of privacy but close to Mackinaw City. Board games and cards for family fun! Only complaint was that the smoke detector constantly went off.

House was very clean, offered a lot of amenities, beautiful view of lake, 10 minutes from Mackanaw city, lots of games and fans in all rooms. Highly recommend!

My family had the best vacation exploring everything that the area has to offer. The home is beautiful, the property is conveniently located and all of the nature surrounding it is amazing. Hope to make this an annual trip with my kids.

The home is truly cared for. The view from the property looking out to Mackinac Island and Mackinac Bridge was excellent. Beach is rocky, but you are up north- expect that! We had fun searches for neat rocks. Beds were comfy. Ample room for adults and kids inside and out. Pet friendly! Only complaint was there were no cushions for the seats on the deck. exploreMullett and Bert Lakes.

We were going to Mackinac Island and this was the absolute perfect place to stay to visit all the places we wanted to see.
