Stayed Jul 2, 2025Good Value with Potential—Needs Some MaintenanceWe recently stayed at this beach house in San Andrés and found it to be a decent option for travelers looking for privacy and space at a fair price. Overall, we had a good time, but there are a few things future guests and the owners might want to keep in mind.Location was nice and quiet, with beach access nearby, but you’ll need to drive about 20 minutes to find a good supermarket or other services—worth planning ahead for.Cleanliness and comfort were average. The house could benefit from a deeper cleaning and some updates to the beds and furniture. Most of the showers leaked when in use, which made the bathrooms feel a bit messy and could be improved.In terms of amenities, there’s room for improvement. The propane gas ran out during our stay, and there was no grill for outdoor cooking. The pool shown in the listing appeared much larger than it is in reality, and the perimeter had cracks and holes that could be unsafe, especially for children or older guests.For local guests, it would be helpful to have basic kitchen appliances like a parrilla for arepas, a pressure cooker, and more complete cookware to prepare traditional meals. Also, the fridge needs to be huge for such a house. A first aid kit would be great.The check-in process was smooth, and the host was friendly, though it sometimes took a while to get responses.
