​Spacious Porch in the Woods, Walk Everywhere

This cute cottage was perfect for our Ren Faire girls weekend. It was cozy without feeling crowded and was close to everything we wanted. We had an amazing time.

Great house. Close to the ice cream store, breakfast place, lake and across the street from the play ground. Beds were comfortable and it was furnished with everything you would need. This does not pertain to the listing but if you google restaurants nearby it will tell you timbers is a 4 minute walk but they must has moved because its a mile more from that point so you may not want to walk. Owner was very responsive and communicated in a timely manner. We would definitely rent again.

Property had almost* everything we expected (less a crockpot). The front porch was a highlight. Great location - with a park across the street, food within walking distance & almost a straight shot to the Renaissance Faire. We also took a nearby hike.

Perfect Mt. Gretna cottage! Very clean and comfortable, looked exactly as pictured in the listing. The porch was fabulous and provided the most relaxing setting for early morning coffee, mid day card games, and evening happy hour! It’s beautifully lit at night. The location is prime, especially with kids as you are across from the playground and jigger shop. Kitchen was spacious and stocked with all the utensils you could possibly need. Beds and couch were comfy and having laundry onsite was clutch!!! Would absolutely stay again.

The house was very nice, but we were miserable with the AC unit not working. It is not fun to wake up in a house that is hotter inside than it is outside during the month of July. In fact, we left a day early because we had no idea when the unit would be worked on. You could not even turn the unit off and open the windows to get a breeze during the night because the windows had been weatherproofed with a thick plastic material making the windows unable to open. Four nights of that oppressive house was enough. We did reach out to the property manager the second night, who asked us to turn up the temp setting on the air conditioner to see if it would cool to a higher temp. 24 hours later when the house still wasn't cooling to the set temp they scheduled a repair person to come the next day. The problem took three days to resolve. Adding freon and replacing the filthy air filter solved the problem. The repair man was there less than 30 minutes. Preventative maintenance on the unit could have prevented this problem!

Even though there was a bit of an issue getting in, I was able to get a hold of someone, and it was an easy fix. The house is centrally located in a nice area, with a playground right across the street. It was a perfect place to stay and be able to make easy trips to hershey park.

The house had all the conveniences of home. Within walking distance of the Tabernacle, Jigger Shop, Playhouse, tennis courts, the Hideaway & playground. Rails to Trails within 1 mile. The parking spot in back of the house is a bit tight but ok for a smaller car. I would recommend bringing bottled water.

A few hours before check-in, after packing and loading the cars, and just as we were about to leave, I got a message from the property manager letting me know, on a record breaking 100°day, that the air conditioning was broken and she would let me know when she had an appointment time. I contacted VRBO because it wasn't acceptable to not have AC. I got a call from the owner, Frank. We discussed the situation and he agreed to refund my money. I truly appreciate the resolution and the involvement of the owner. The home looks lovely and we were so disappointed that it didn't work out. I would try to stay in the home in the future. My only disappointment was that even though the AC was out for a few days, the property manager didn't let me know until I was about to walk out the door. She apologized and said she didn't realize it was still broken until then. So, although we didn't get to enjoy a stay in this adorable cottage, the way my situation was ultimately handled makes me want to pursue a stay in the future. was broken and they had

We vacationed in Mount Gretna regularly trough out the 70s -90s Mount Gretna is my parents (89&91) favorite vacation destination and my kids have never been This was the perfect place for us. I look forward toreturning

Absolutely wonderful stay with family and grandchildren. House was loaded with that old Mt Gretna character. Fully furnish and extremely well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Never ran out of anything! The kitchen was up to date and spotless... even a trash compactor!! Plenty of shelf space for your personal foods. Tons of dishes, silverware, pots, pans and baking sheets. Iot was very easy to cook for 8 and clean up. The entire house and property was very clean and fresh… I want to emphasize that. AC was perfect, and they even had fans in the bedrooms!! Everything worked. Big screen Hi Res TV, WiFi, all kitchen appliances. Plenty of hot water for showers after day at beach. Well-lit house. The porch was outstanding... table and chairs, old fashion swing, even a hammock, couch and chairs with coffee table. Sit and relax, read or play games and or eat with a great view. Loved the sidewalk accent lights and the American flag flying out front!! The children’s playground was across the street, one block walk to the Jigger Shop, Playhouse. All the little details were taken care of... like tissues in every room, extra TP, paper towels, fully stocked laundry room, even extra toothpaste in bathroom!! Had a ton of fun staying here with our family. Very safe and road patrolled by police. We had a truly wonderful, hassle-free vacation. My wife and I were very impressed with this property and will book again in a heartbeat.

This cottage is nestled right between the trees! It was perfect for our family of 6. During our stay, the AC unit had malfunctioned and Ashley and Frank came to the rescue to try to fix it for us. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a quick fix, but they supplied us with a window unit for the downstairs and multiple fans for the upstairs. It was clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. Even a board game of Monopoly that was from 1936! If we’re ever in the area again, we will be back to stay!
