Secret Garden Cottage

Everything was great and relaxing. The host has done a fantastic job at making the place cozy and relaxing. Truly a home away from home.

The house was perfect for a quiet getaway weekend for two friends to catch up with each other. Allen was extra thoughtful leaving us a welcome note, snacks and allowed for early access and late check out. The house was immaculate, warm and cozy on a very chilly weekend. Allen was quick in response to several questions. Would definitely return

We loved the beautifully restored cottage. Outside there are areas to grill, relax with a book or build a bonfire. Inside the rooms are well appointed with comfy beds, and a fully equipped kitchen. The host, Allen, even left snacks and provided 3 ways to brew coffee.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What an enchanting cottage. We were in town for a family wedding and this cottage was the perfect location for us. We were greeted by a hand written note from our host, Allen and snacks. What a great first impression. The cottage is immaculate, cosy and comfortable. The garden is naturally beautiful with areas for play, dining or enjoying an evening bonfire. We really enjoyed our stay at this small cottage. There was plenty of room for the three of us. Very nice garden with lot of shade and places to sit. Everything was super clean, nothing was missing. The host was very attentive and welcoming.

Beautiful cabin, personal touches from host, wonderful garden with functional and private outside areas. We enjoyed the outside eating table, the grill, the fire pit, and the play set.

A long-time friend and I met here, half-way between Michigan and Wisconsin. It was the perfect location...close to Paw Paw Lake, hiking paths, shopping, restaurants, and Lake Michigan beaches. The grounds were extremely well-kept with daffodils blooming, a new grill, clean outdoor tables, and plenty of parking. Inside was perfect for us as we each had our own bedroom with very comfy beds, a kitchen we could easily cook our own meals in, a nice hot shower, top-notch decorating, and super clean through-out. Allen, the manager, was very good about communicating how to lock/unlock the door and get ahold of him if needed. All-in-all, Maplewood Cottage was wonderful!
