Stayed Sep 2, 2025The cottage suited my needs - secluded, quiet and restful. Roomy, comfortable bed, good workable kitchen and I did love the large table. The cottage is not cozy - sofas are formal, lighting in all rooms didn’t work for me, lots of blinds all white, no pictures on the walls. This may be personal preference but I took off one star from my rating

Stayed Aug 22, 2025A great little cottage, full of character and charm.Highly recommend.Although in close proximity to the town centre, we didn’t know the property was located up a fairly steep slope. Making walking into town (especially in the dark) difficult. However this didn’t take anything away from our stay.

Stayed Mar 9, 2025We had a 3 night stay at the cottage which was comfortable with adequate facilities. The bedroom was lovely and the bed/ bedding was very comfy. The kitchen had all the basics and the huge table was a great place to eat. We had a little difficulty finding the property up the very steep drive as there was no number 15A displayed . Some reviews have said that it's a 15 minute walk into the town which we would question. The property is at the top of a very steep hill and is quite isolated. You need a car to get to and from anywhere of interest. The rear garden was a little unloved and would have benefitted from a bench or garden seating. We had thought we may get a stunning view with being so high up but the high trees hid the views and made the garden feel claustrophobic. The pottery shed and bird shed at the rear of the house did nothing to improve the area.

Stayed Oct 24, 2024Lovely, clean apartment. Beautiful views and quiet. The walk into town is quite hill-y so you should be prepared for that. We mostly drove everywhere. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was very clean. Would recommend for a small getaway.

Stayed Aug 23, 2024Just had a 3-night stay at this very spacious property. The location was good- nb. very steep drive- lovely outlook, amenities good ( though we didn’t see the hot tub as listed) and was warm and cosy. The only suggestions that I made to the host and to which she responded immediately, was that an information book regarding local restaurants, medical facilities and wifi information etc would be good to add. Communication was answered promptly on each occasion. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom fit for purpose. Loved our king parrot and kookaburra visitors!

Stayed Mar 20, 2024Just perfect for what we wanted, a quiet base to be able to explore the surrounding area. Good facilities if we wanted to stay home to eat, but close to good eateries. Plenty of space to chill out.
