Stayed Aug 4, 2025Located off the beaten track, this beautiful home is in a peaceful neighborhood a few miles from Bass Lake and Oakhurst. Conveniently located, it is only about a half hour drive (minus any wait time) to the south entrance of Yosemite and Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. We did get slightly lost when first arriving but a quick call to the owners got us right back on track. The home has been exquisitely designed and decorated with great taste and forethought. The king bed is very comfortable as is the adjoining room with a queen bed and bunkbeds. The walk-in shower is lovely with a beautiful stone design and shower bench. All the kitchen appliances were great quality and the Keurig coffee maker had both a coffee pot and kcups. The owners even thoughtfully supplied various coffee kcups to use. The wifi was fast and I was able to easily grade papers and answer emails in the evenings for my virtual class. The creek is at the end of the very large, beautifully kept yard with a gazebo and chairs to enjoy the ambiance of the soothing sounds of water. Lots of birds, butterflies, and a doe with twins were spotted in the yard. My husband uses a walker and greatly appreciated the ramp from the driveway onto the deck and then into the house with no problem. The laundry is in a separate small building on the deck, but it had nice washer and dryer and great space to fold clothes. The owners were phenomenal and were so gracious and helpful, they made us feel at home even before we arrived.

Stayed May 26, 2025We have stayed in many vacation rental homes but this one stands out! The hospitality of Shannon is something you rarely find anymore. The home is well stocked from the kitchen with a wide variety of Keurig coffee pods and anything you might need for cooking to luxury hotel like bath towels. The backyard was our kids paradise. They were out there first thing in the morning and loved playing in the creek despite all the mosquitoe bites. We spent one day in Yosemite and the rest of our stay was spent close to the home. The home was the absolute best retreat. Very relaxing and peaceful. I will definitely be recommending this place to all our friends who may be headed to the Yosemite area!

Stayed May 13, 2025My boyfriend and small dog had an amazing stay here. We can’t speak more to the cleanliness and convenience of the property. With a huge outside space, a creek in the backyard, a jacuzzi, morning birds and light through the trees…we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Shannon was thoughtful and responsive and an impeccable host. If you have the chance to stay here, you will remember it forever.

Stayed Apr 7, 2025Our family (including dog, Norman) were fully catered to at this cabin! We arrived to light music, warm lighting and treats to snack on while unpacking. What a GREAT setup! I felt the owners anticipated every need we may have had. We could hear the rushing creek from our open windows and fully enjoyed the hot tub each night after a long hike. Beds were very comfy and plenty of hot water! Thank you so much and we will spread the word about what a gem this place is!

Stayed Apr 4, 2025The pictures don't do this property justice. From the little creek in the backyard to the special touches that Shannon adds, you simply have to experience it for yourself. Five adults and one dog stayed comfortably for three nights. We had plenty of soace, and the large backyard was a fave forvour pup! We took many walks, and spent an entire day at Yosemite which is only 20 minutes away. We also had a great time on the Sugar Pine Railroad. We hope to be back soon!

Stayed Sep 30, 2024We had a wonderful stay. There were 2 couples and I loved that each of us was able to have our own floor. I have never seen such a well-stocked home! The kitchen is beautiful. We spent a lot of time on the deck, watching the stars.

Stayed Sep 18, 2024We had a great stay! The home was very clean with all that you will need for a comfortable stay. The open layout was great for visiting. The hot tub and the large grassy backyard were lots of fun. It was great to have a grassy space to play fetch and soccer with our lab. The laundry facilities were very helpful as well.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed here for a week in August. The house is perfect for two families/couples with having a bed, small bath and TV downstairs with access to the yard. The house was great. It was clean and comfortable and the a/c worked great (much needed in the summer). Note: The King bed is a sleep number bed with a remote in the nightstand drawer; not mentioned in house description. Plenty of coffee and spices in the kitchen which was nice. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful even though there are neighbors on both sides. Shannon was great and very personable and checked in on us a few times. The two times I texted her with a question she responded back very quickly. My husband said the grill outside was the cleanest grill he had ever seen in a rental. I always pack a few citronella candles when we go somewhere in the summer but didn't need to as there was one on the deck. I loved the fact that there was not a single spider web to be seen on the deck or downstairs by the hot tub; which I found is rare in many rentals. It's the little things sometimes that make me happy :). We had never been to Bass Lake before and rented a pontoon boat at Millers Landing Marina and spent a day on the lake which was great and even better to have a nice comfortable house to return too. We hope to go back to the area again in April, this time to check out Yosemite, and without a doubt we will rent this house again. Steve - It was nice to meet you. Thanks for opening up your home for others to enjoy and thank you Shannon for the bottle of wine upon arrival. Very appreciative and we enjoyed it the first night.

Stayed Jul 26, 2024Highly recommend. All aspects of the venue were simply excellent. It was organized, exceptionally cleaned, attention to details of kitchen items needed; spacious, thoughtful extras provided, and comfortable beds/living space areas. The grounds were beautiful and the creek/gazebo areas were very relaxing. Near recreation areas. Our only regret was not staying longer. Be sure to bring your bug repellent for outdoor. Plan on returning. Many great memories.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our stay was amazing. We went there to celebrate my adult daughter's birthday. The house was so cute and welcoming. Shannon was an amazing host and there was everything that we needed and more. The yard was huge and beautiful and so relaxing with lounge chairs. And the sound of the creek at the back of the property was just an added bonus. We definitely plan on visiting again.
