Simple but cozy cabin for a nice weekend away. The property is beautiful and I loved that I was able to go kayaking. I didn’t get a chance to go hiking but Monadnock is super close. Chris the host responded within minutes when we had a question. Would definitely stay again! Hope to get there in the fall for some hiking
My girlfriend & I had a wonderful time here. We were looking for peace and quiet and we had it in spades. (Visiting from a Connecticut city, the silence was deafening!) The cottage was lacking nothing and the communications with the owner were always friendly and helpful. Kayaking the pond was a lot of fun and we did see two loons. We'll definitely be back.
This is a pretty perfect place to stay. It has everything you need, including kayaks and a paddle board to play with; it's spotless; it's really well equipped and while we only used one bed, it was very comfy. You'll be relaxed as soon as you get out of the car.
This camp had everything a group of close friends or family would want! There wasn’t anything that the place was really missing or that we felt we needed. The water was insanely warm and perfect for swimming and other water activities. It was awesome there was a dock too, which made it easy to get in and out of water nonstop. The pond in the morning/evening was calming and paired great with a good book or fire. The cozy living room area was also fantastic for our heated board game competitions. We made a ton of memories and this camp couldn’t have been better - highly recommend!
Lake side cottage in a lovely wooded setting. Cabin was rustic, as described but bathroom very small and futon sofa not so comfortable. Upon arrival, host said lake water only for dishes and shower. They had drinking water in a dispenser. Kayaks available for use but no life vests? WiFi but no tv. We brought books but others, planning to watch movies, might not be prepared. It rained for much of our visit so we really could not fully enjoy the outdoors.
We loved this adorable cottage on Thorndike Pond. We would happily return there for another stay.
Even with the rainy weather we had a great stay! Very cute and cozy cabin and the kids loved swimming in the lake and playing bored games.
