Rural cottage-large garden and farm outlook.

Quiet cabin set in lovely gardens with rural aspect. Very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed listening to music - no TV to distract.

Lovely quiet out of the way country cottage but close enough to New Plymouth for all the attractions. It was a well provided studio cottage for staying, even with no TV in it the stay was nice and relaxed and there was a lovely big gardens to walk around and small bush track. It does get hot with closed windows and watch out for a large amounts of moths wanting to get in at night, apart from these minor issues it is well worth the stay.

Nice quiet place in the country is exactly what we needed after an all day heavy metal gig in town. A great place to stay if you enjoy reading in the sunshine, tho I wasn’t around long enough to enjoy that aspect.

Very quiet and peaceful. Not too far from New Plymouth. Just what we needed. A bed and shower during an impromptu road trip. Tidy throughout.

Very enjoyable and scenic place to stay. Enjoyed listening to the Tui in the morning and exploring hidden jems around the exceptional garden. The bed was comfortable and the room was good. The only let down was the fluctuations of the showers temperature from scorching hot to freezing cold. The heating supplied didn’t heat the room so it was reasonably cold. And the deck was slippery, admittedly I was wearing sandals. Over all really enjoyed it but could be perfect with these things attended to : )

Cute, rustic, quiet and restful. Central to many tourist hotspots. The gardens are fabulous and make a lovely gentle walk around in formed tracks.

We loved our 4 days in Hurford. The place was small but comfortable and set in the most amazing beautiful garden! It was a good base to explore the area, great hiking in the Kataki range, lovely beach at Oakura. Only 20 mins from the Bowl of Brooklands where went to a concert. Highly recommend

Very quiet and tranquil.

Lovely rural setting, very peaceful. Peter kindly showed us around the garden and property and we were able to walk around freely and enjoy it. Loved the chickens.

Host was very accomadating. Very quiet and dark, just a shame theres a rooster that started crowing at 4am.

Peter our host was very helpful. Clean, comfortable and quiet. If you’re a light sleeper, the rooster may wake you up early but it didn’t bother us

Unfortunately the cute chickens had left a deposit which was cleaned up just before we arrived. The hosts could explain a bit better about where the guests can walk, as they have a magnificent garden

Great little place, good location within easy reach of everything. Only downside would be the fact the bed squeeks every time you move Listing says there is a washer and dryer but there is not though this is apparently not theough lack of them trying to stop it from being on the list
