The Hayloft near Bourton-on-the-Water is a lovingly restored apartment located in the eaves of a Grade II listed barn conversion. Sleeping two guests, in one bedroom, with a separate bathroom, it is perfect for a romantic Cotswold getaway. Whilst retaining plenty of the barn's original features, this well thought out space has all the essentials for a short break in the Cotswolds. Located in the groundsof the owner's home in the charming village of Cold Aston, you are moments from well regarded Cotswold towns like Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.

Accommodation
This one bedroom Cotswold holiday accommodation in Cold Aston is ideally suited for couples looking for a country retreat and the chance to explore the surrounding Cotswolds. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

First Floor
There is an external stone staircase leading to the first floor barn conversion
In the entrance hall there is hanging space for your coats and storage for your muddy boots, along with a cupboard storing an iron and ironing board

Kitchen
A modern well-equipped kitchen with electric oven with grill and four-ring hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and cafetière
A combined washing machine/tumble dryer is also located in the kitchen

Bedroom (Sleeps 2)
A couple of steps down lead you into the bedroom with king size bed, two bedside tables with drawers and lamps, built-in cupboards with hangers, chair and hairdryer

Bathroom
Walk-in shower, loo and basin

Living/dining room
Exposed Cotswold stone and wooden beams, two two-seater sofas, coffee table, Freeview TV and DVD player and a selection of books, DVDs and board games
Dining table which comfortably seats two guests

Outside
There is a small dedicated patio with table and seating for two guests to use during your stay which overlooks the owners private garden

The maximum occupancy for this property is 2 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant who is not yet walking (aged 2 or under)
Bed linen and towels are provided - some bedding and cushions are feather filled. On request (1 week notice) all feather filled items can be removed and hypoallergenic bedding can be provided
Off street parking is available for up to 1 car
1 travel cot and 1 baby bath are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided)

Regrettably, due to the steepness of the exterior steps, The Hayloft is not suitable for children

    The booking process, the accommodation and everything else was terrific. The whole booking process was easy to follow and full of useful information. The accommodation was excellent - clean, spacious with everything we needed including a washer/dryer combo in the kitchen. The sitting/dining area was very large and comfortable with plenty of room to keep suitcases out of the way. The bedroom was romantic but does have limited headroom at the sides but that was not an issue for us. Location of the property was easy to find and access was easy. The Plough Inn across the road is no longer open for food and drinks so you do need to drive to other locations for a pub meal - not an issue for us but worth noting.

    A lovely location with a generous twin sofas sitting room, but with a bedroom that has no headroom. Thus one cannot stand upright at the side of the bed. If you try, as we did the first morning, one cracks ones head on hard wooden beams. The shower is also difficult as another beam is positioned to inflict pain. I am 6ft I should add. I would recommend the property, but only with a clear warning about the lack of headroom.

    We really enjoyed our stay at The Hayloft. It was well equipped and comfortable. It is a beautiful property, very clean with everything you should need. It was extremely hot when we were there and the windows had been opened and a fan left running to cool the property. It is a great location in a beautiful village.

    We stayed at the Hayloft for three nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The village of Cold Aston is lovely and a short drive to some of the popular tourist areas of the Cotswolds, like Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and The Slaughters. The property is gorgeous and the unit itself is beautifully renovated and very comfortable. It's well appointed with everything that we needed. We'd been traveling for over a month at that point, so the combo washer/dryer was a nice thing to have. We would definitely stay there again.

    The location was excellent, very quiet and yet easily accessible via a short drive to all the villages. Bourton on the water was a 5 minute drive. All amenities were provided, the bed and the lounges were most comfortable and above all it was impeccably clean. Highly recommended. We loved it. Would love to stay again.

    Cold Aston is a very quiet and beautiful little village ideally situated to visit the Cotswolds. The Hayloft is very nice, has a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room, beautiful new bathroom and a cosy bedroom. Yes the beams are low in some places but we are 1.75 and 1.85 meter and had no problems. The quality standards are high and has everything you need to make your stay very comfortable. The parking in the back is spacious and the garden amazing. My only very minor suggestions would be a holder in the shower for shampoo and soap. Woud definitely recommend!

    Lovely cottage in a great location and in the owners grounds which are beautiful. Very comfortable and had everything we needed for a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Provided with an excellent private parking space behind the cottage. Would definitely recommend.
