Great Location! House was clean. However, I feel the owner needs to make some changes for it to be more enjoyable. Definitely need to add a split unit for A/C. The one window unit does not cool the entire home. Everything is outdated. Home is hard to see from the road due to the shrub's and trees not cut back. I highly recommend a new mattress for the master bedroom. Communication with property owner/manager was great.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Kingfisher. Communication with the owner was good and he always answered promptly. It was easy to find and on a quiet street. As others have mentioned, it reminded me of staying in my grandmother’s cabin. The living room floor had a few uneven spots. This was not an issue for me but my husband, who uses a cane, was not a fan.The kitchen had all the essentials as far as dishes and pots and pans. We appreciated the full coffeepot as opposed to a Keurig type.We only used one bedroom but it was comfortable and quiet. The adjoining bathroom was very clean but could use some additional towel racks and/or hooks. I also suggest a bathmat or gripper strips in the shower as we found it fairly slippery. The weather was mild during our stay and we were thankful. The house has multiple heaters and fans plus a window type AC unit in the living room. We were able to keep the house cool enough but the temp was more uneven than in a house with central air. Our favorite feature was the carport and the location by the river. There were 2 rockers under the carport which we enjoyed very much. We spent hours there enjoying the water and some wildlife. Bring your own chairs if you plan to sit in front right by the water. There was a nice, large TV in the living room and some games and puzzles in the cabinet underneath.

Host was fantastic and friendly. Cabin was beautiful right off the lake and walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg, which was super helpful. Highly Recommend and would definitely stay again.

Im giving an honest review, as soon as we got to the house our front door was wide open, we contacted the owner and they were very nice and helpful. We absolutely loved the location, the walk to the strip wasn't bad at all, very peaceful. It could've been cleaned a little better, there were spider webs in the kitchen sink with baby spiders everywhere. We had issues finding outlets to use, none at all in the bathrooms, so that made it hard for us ladies to get ready. We loved the old homey feel but I definitely think it could use an update. Overall our stay wasn't bad.

We stayed for 3 nights. Super close walk to downtown and even closer walk to Hill Billy golf which was fun for the kids. River in the back of house was peaceful. Thank you!

We could not have asked for a better stay! Clean, smelled great, and felt like a true mountain cottage, but close to everything

The location was nice. The property was exactly as described. The host answered emails quickly. We enjoyed listening to the river sounds and sitting out on the carport in the evenings. We would definitely come again!

The cabin was perfect for us. There are a few amenities that would have been nice, but overall it was a fantastic rental. Communication is awesome with the host. Very quick to respond. Easy to find quiet location that was perfect just outside of the crazy busy area. Walkable distance downtown and right off the free trolly line if you don’t want to walk. Plenty of heaters and fans. Right on the main river!!! Beds are very comfortable, lots of blankets and pillows. Outdoor patio and river seating were very welcoming and relaxing. The house is a rare gem, not updated and has that grandparent house feel. TV in every room. Lots of dishes for cooking. Lots of towels. The downsides are minimal… There is not a dishwasher or a hair dryer. Only salt and pepper no cooking oil or other spices. No tinfoil plastic wrap or parchment paper. No pot holder for pulling things from the oven. There is a washer and dryer but no detergent. No sponge provided for washing dishes but did provide a dish rag and dish soap. None of these small things would deter us from going back. I would love to stay at this rental again! Thank you for having us!

The location cannot be beat, IMO. It’s right before you get into the thick of Gatlinburg but on a side street backed up to the river. Surprisingly quiet. I found it very clean and tidy. Communication with host was friendly and quick. He also let us check in a bit early when we arrived sooner than anticipated.
