River Dream Cottage - Located minutes from Downtown Ludington & Lake MI Beaches

This is my go to place every single October! I can’t say enough amazing things about it. The property itself is so perfect, the trail to the river is something I do everyday when I am there. I love the patio and fire-pit so much. Rainy days are actually so relaxing and calming to just watch a movie or read. Always looking forward to my next year!

The weather had finally cooled off for a perfect long weekend to enjoy Ludington. Fall in Michigan continues to offer amazing hikes and fishing. The cottage was perfect for our family. The size of the yard was most important for our 3 boys! Everynight around the firepit and running around! The kitchen and house was well equipped making cooking and grilling easy. The canoe was perfect for our sons to go fishing in Lincoln Lake.

Great location, felt secluded but was near everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

We had such a wonderful time during our stay! It was everything we were looking for in a rental. The kids had their own room and plenty of soace to spread out. It was so nice having a kitchen space to prepare food!

Awesome little cottage in the woods. It was stocked with everything you need and more. Owner was great and responded quickly to your needs. The setting was very private and wonderful. Not a house anywhere around you that could be seen.

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy little cottage in the woods. It was lovely walking the path through the woods down to the river and then being able to kayak to Lincoln Lake. The cottage is just a few minutes away from town and the state park. Check in and out were simple and Bernadine was quick to answer any questions.

This cabin was wonderful! It was peaceful and nice and quiet set back in the woods. There was so much room for the kids to run free and the fire pit was a hit! The only thing that could make it even more perfect is maybe adding a little window air conditioning unit. Otherwise 100/10! We will definitely be back again!

Loved the location of the house, close to town for exploring and meals but also close to state park for hikes and beaches all to yourself.

Very clean, simple, met all our needs, but mostly we loved the privacy!!! The cabin was surrounded by woods on a 5 acre lot with a cute trail through the woods leading to Lincoln lake, equiped with kayaks availible for guest use!!

This place was absolutely perfect! So clean, private, and full of adventures! The only complaint I would have was finding the property. It is not marked by the road, and when arriving later in the evening it was difficult to find. Google maps took us to the driveway before this one. Other than that simple inconvenience, we couldn’t be more pleased with our stay! The host was extremely kind and responsive. We hope to visit again soon

Our 2025 trip is our 7th time staying here. It has become tradition. This is a wonderful place for families because it offers privacy, parameters and yet freedom for kids (including kids with unique needs) while being close to lots of wonderful things. Our family has been here across several seasons, and all offer unique experiences. The trail to the river offers peace and perspective. And each time we go there are (little and big) upgrades. Great communication from Bernadine. We make it an annual event.

This is my fifth year staying at the cottage and it’s definitely my favorite place ever to vacation. It’s the perfect location, charming and has everything you need. The walk to the river is so pretty, watching the deer everyday come into the yard is always something I love. The weather was amazing, it was great being outside all afternoon. Already looking forward to next year.

This is the second time that we've stayed at this cottage. It's a great location- where it feels like you're getting away from it all but it's also not far from town. The property is clean and well accommodated and host is super responsive and helpful. Thanks for another wonderful stay!

This is our fourth year staying at the River Dream Cottage. The owners are great people and very accommodating. The cottage is out of town by just a couple of miles. It is a great place to stay. We will be back next year. Thank you Bernadine!

Just what we were looking for! Peace & quiet in a remote spot, still close to town and things to do. Loved the sun porch, and the path to the river/lake. Love that kayaks were available to use, and that we did. She really has thought of everything you could need/want. Would recommend and would definitely come back! Thanks for everything.

The property is beautiful and the house extremely comfortable. It is very convenient to activities and places to see along with restaurants. Or, the kitchen has everything needed plus a gas grill is available if you prefer to cook. Top on my list is comfortable beds and these are. Bernadette responded promptly to any questions and when the coffee maker malfunctioned a new one was delivered within a couple of hours. This would be a great place for kids as the grounds are huge and after a day at the beach they can come back and run around some more. Or play one of the many inside games available. River Dream Cottage gets 10 / 5 stars from us!

Love love love the location. So close to all the amenities, but perfectly secluded in the woods. We loved relaxing and enjoying nature in peace and quiet. Location is perfect to Stearns beach and to the State park. Excellent area for biking and kayaking. The home is very clean and well equipped. The host was wonderful at answering any questions we had. The cottage and property were perfect for our family of three, with extra room to spare. The location made for a short drive to everything in Ludington - the City Beach, State Park, downtown, and grocery shopping. The cottage was well-stocked with everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. The host was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!
