Stayed Sep 25, 2024Great property exactly as described, and the setting and views were just the best! The local town 20 mins drive on the river is Amarante and it stole our hearts. The drive straight down the mountain to a slightly closer town Celorico de Basto is not for the faint hearted, and was not repeated. The TV was in French which was a bonus as we don't speak Portugese. The host was very accommodating of our very late arrival at 11pm due to flight issues and responded to all messages immediately.A great holiday.

Stayed Jul 15, 2023Jose's Villa is an amazing place to have a wonderful relaxing vacation. Jose and Helena were so welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. The ground around the villa were great to entertaing the Kids and ourselves. We will be back for sure.

Stayed Apr 27, 2023Absolutely stunning grounds! The pictures really don’t do it justice. The pool, tennis court and “yard” (it’s the size of a soccer field) back up into the end of a canyon of sort. Complete seclusion! Unreal that places like this still exist in our over populated world. Fireplace, wood burning over outside with BBQ. Would be amazing for a family vacation. Kids would never want to leave!
