Rebecca's Waterfront Cottage Westport Ontario

Nice dock for swimming, fishing, and docking the boat. The cottage was clean and on the water. Communications were responded to promptly. Two of the rooms are tight, but we made it work. Saw the Northern lights and beautiful sunsets. Really enjoyed our stay!

Cute cottage right on the lake. Beautiful view, ducks, geese, loones. Wonderful sunset & tons of stars. Cottage has everything you need. Couldn’t ask for a better get away.

Me and four friends stayed from Friday-Monday and had an absolutely wonderful time. Francine was so accomodating and quick to answer our questions, let us check in early, brought us extra waivers for he watercraft, and we enjoyed a lovely complimentary bottle of wine. Thi property is marked as no AC which concerned us, but there were enough free standing fans/AC units that we were comfortable the whole trip. The sunroom/wrap around area is stunning and hs a gorgeous view of the lake, whcih was so clean and warm we could barely stay out of it long enough to enjoy the cottage itself, which was just as homey and delightful as the pictures make it seem. The nearby winery restaurant was amazing. The watercraft provided were in excellent condition, as was the dock itself. The only note I would give to prospective guests is that the lifejackets under the cottage were a bit dirty/old. Thankfully, this wasn't a huge deal for us as we are all strong swimmers, but if you're intending to bring kids who need lifejackets, I'd reccomend bringing your own. Other than that, we had absolutely zero complaints. Thanks again to Francine for a fantastic weekend!

We loved being at this property. Everything was clean, comfortable and worked perfectly. I would advise anyone to rent this property as it is peaceful and perfect. 5 star rating.

The cottage was great: it was clean and spacious and improvements have been done since the photos were taken. It was right by the lake. Good swimming and fishing. Canoe and kayak on site to borrow. Loved the extra long dock. Reliable wi-fi connection if you are thinking about working from the cottage. Less than a 5 min walk to the winery and less than 2km from village centre. Francine is a fantastic host. We are coming back next year! Thank you, Francine!

Super cute, clean and comfortable cottage! It accommodated our family of 3 very well. It was very conveniently located for visiting our family in the town of Westport, and the setting was lovely. It was beautiful to watch the sun rise over the vineyards and light up the fall colours across the lake, and eventually see the sun set back over the lake. Francine was easy to communicate with and very hospitable. Would visit again - thank you!

The cottage waa clean and was exactly what the description stated...no hidden surprises. Well one, the fact that you can walk to the winery! Easy walk to town, docks were great and kayaks and canoes. Westport holds many childhood memories and look forward to visiting again... Hosts were great and responsive to my questions...

Great location and funky cottage style.

I would definitely return to this cottage. Francine is a very responsive host, quick to answer a call and to act. For instance, the shower leaked, and a plumber was quickly called, and it was fixed shortly afterwards. We asked for a vacuum and promptly received one. We stayed for two weeks in July and spent most of our time outdoors or in the lovely front porch overlooking the lake. You will read in other reviews and see from the photos that there is no ceiling above the bedrooms – there is gap between the walls and the top roof. This means the air circulates well and the heat goes up to the roof. But it also means that the bedrooms are not sound proof. Yet, the front porch and the location make up for it!

We really enjoyed the cottage. It is small/cozy but had lots of outdoor space. The waterfront was nice for kayaking and swimming. There is a sandy beach a few minutes drive away for kids. The winery was great for dinner/lunch. We would definitely come back for another stay next summer.
