​Quiet Porch Retreat: Remote Work Ready + AC

Everything was wonderful!

House is very large and charming.

While we checked in and stayed for 2hours, it turned out that there was no water at the house (pipe outside froze). Of course these things happen, but we were left to scramble on our own to find a new place last minute with little support from the management company. Not cool.

Very nice stay. Great communication. Nice beds. The only thing was the heat was hard to control The recliner and couches need to go.

The place is beautiful and very comfortable for a family. The views are also beautiful.The only drawbacks are that the steep driveway is not ideal for parking especially in inclement weather. The other part is that I specifically asked if the place would be decorated for the holidays with the tree since we were there over Christmas and it was not decorated. All in all- we had a nice stay.

Nice house, 3 bathrooms were great when you have more then a couple of people. Big kitchen, master bath was nice with a shower and separate bath tub, lits of towel provided! master bedroom was aslo large . We definitely recommend this house for a nice stay

The house was great overall. Liked the layout of the house. It was a cozy cabin.

Such a quaint and cozy home. The big bonuses are the well equipped kitchen and that screened porch. Our family spent most of our time on that beautiful porch!

Lot of room,clean,enjoyed our stay

Nice property. Outdoor porch was our favorite feature. Wasn’t aware of checkout process until we got info guide from owner. Strip the beds , wash and put away the dishes , take out the trash. Strip the beds and take out the trash seems reasonable. Loading the dishwasher seems reasonable. But, putting away the dishes was a bit over the top I thought for check out. All that said , nice property , good location and property manager was very responsive.

Nice home, great area. Easy to navigate to points of interest. Great trails to hike.

It was a very nice place for our family.

Clean, comfortable and a/c in every room! Enjoyed the enclosed deck with lots of seating and a dining table, breakfast with the songbirds and evenings with a book. Well-stocked kitchen made meal prep easy. Board games, books and especially the children's activity materials in the study room kept our toddler occupied (in the original Wizard of Oz, Dorothy's slippers were silver). Would definitely book again.Special thanks to our host, upon check-out the cleaning crew found a couple left-behind items and delivered them to us

Loved the house. Plenty of room for 5. Huge kitchen. Comfortable bedrooms. Quiet retreat.

We enjoyed our 3-night stay at this home. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with dishes and utensils for 10 people and all the pots, pans, and serving dishes we needed. The weekend we stayed, the wind chills were in the negatives, but the house was cozy. The walls are very thin, though; beware that the person in the next bedroom can hear every word you say ; ) The house was clean enough. We did have to wash most of the dishes we used before we used them. However, that's not an issue with the owner or property manager but with the last people who rented the house. Also, the grill was pretty gross... again that's on the renters before us who left it that way. I just wrapped my food in foil to solve that issue. The property manager was very responsive; they responded to a text within 15 minutes.The driveway is very steep, and there is no handicap access, as advertised. It levels off at the top, so our elderly relatives parked there and did not have to walk up the hill. They did have to navigate the steps, though.I would rent this property again,

Beautiful and quaint Mt. Gretna made for a wonderful thanksgiving with family. The house was completely stocked with everything we needed—such a fun, quirky home and very comfortable—love the long table for meals and late night cards! Kitchen was great for preparing all the thanksgiving dishes!! Downside to this home is 2 of the 3 toilets continued to overflow when simply flushed… We were all adults and nobody was over stuffing the toilets. This made for a very smelly bathroom and even though we were able to wash towels, there was never enough to mop up the mess. Also, the heating is a little funky and it got freezing at night and super warm during the day, but we could not seem to regulate it. I would also say that investing in some good consignment furniture and other accessories could dress this cute little bungalow up ! Overall, we really liked our stay, but this home was overpriced and not worth what we paid.

We have been coming to Gretna for nearly 40 years! For the last few years to enjoy the peace and quiet of autumn. This house is so comfortable and well equipped with the plus of being dog friendly. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Reminded us of grandma’s house, cozy and familiar with great views of the fall foliage. Kitchen served us well. Only main issue was the radiator heat not cooperating in one bedroom. We also did not expect the driveway to be so steep; AWD/4WD vehicles that sit high are a must, your average sedan is going to have a tough time.

Property was great and in a good location. Was everything we needed, would consider booking here again without question.

Peaceful stay. Location is quiet, cozy, convenient to Lititz, Hershey, Manheim.

We had a lovely stay in the cozy historic cabin. Feels like a 1950s movie with all the updates of modern living. Our host had all the information available in emails and at the house.

We had 5 adults stay at the facility and it was as advertised. Additional family joined us Saturday for informal gathering over pizza. Stairs to the second floor posed some challenges as my wife was sporting a walking immobilizer boot. Some things we vserved that may need attention by cleaning stafg

This is our second year staying in Mt Gretna for the Renn Faire and our first stay at this location. The house was clean, comfortable and fully stocked with everything we needed for a long weekend stay. Perfect for groups and families and also our fur babies!

This home has a welcoming screened porch and most of the time we were there was spent enjoying nature out there. Kitchen is well stocked and enhances fixing meals at home. Location is great for exploring Hershey. Owner/manager promptly responded with kindness and good solution to our problems. Home needs cleaning-shower curtain-mold at top and bottom, shower doors-mold at opening, refrigerator food and meat juices debris left, furniture and master bed need update-uncomfortable, “clean” dish towels smelled sour-maybe left in washer too long, dirty towels were left in washer as well as some trash in cans when we arrived, bathtub needs a scrubbing, and house has pet odors although website does say pet friendly home.

The house was in a great location and large enough for our extended family. The master bedroom and bath are huge and was perfect for a family member with a baby and packnplay. The kitchen was large and the table in the dining room was big enough for puzzles and meals. The front porch is screened in and very peaceful. The stairs are narrow and a little tricky for older adults and thenoutside steps were tricky for Kids and older adults. One of the bedrooms is really a little Futon in a den off the living room, but overall the house and stay was fantastic and we would definitely rent here again.

It was our very first time to Mt. Gretna, and it was great! The house was lovely, very comfortable, and very convenient. Our group consisted of my husband, myself, our son and daughter-in-law, and 17 year-old grandson. Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely, and our only disappointment was that we could not stay longer, since it was fully booked before our dates and after our dates. Next time, we will know to book earlier. Again, we had a wonderful time and thank our host for sharing their beautiful home with us!

The pictures of the screened in porch sold us and it did not dissapoint. We too k our dogs with us for the first time on vacation and it was so worth it. Loved the relaxing

Layout of house and updates were as advertised. Very conveniently located to lake, park, tabernacle, etc. We would stay at this location again.
