This quaint surf cottage sits right on the beach, and has all the amenities necessary for a comfortable extended stay. Situated right on the ocean, you will fall asleep every night to the sound of the waves. Enjoy time in your screen-porch with tables and chairs or on the patio with chaise lounges where you can soak up the sun and witness some of the most spectacular sunsets on the Gulf Coast. The Surf Cottage generally sees repeat customers who love its convenience and privacy.

The screened in porch tends to be the hang-out area and one of the best places to have a quiet sip of coffee or your dinners overlooking the ocean and it's unmatched sunsets.
The cottage is rustic but charming. The area is quiet but welcoming. Restaurants and bars are nearby in Manasota Key, Englewood (5 min drive), or Venice (25 min drive), along with coffee shops, shopping and grocery stores. The cottage sits on a private beach, and public beaches are nearby.
The Area:
Fishing, boating and excursion rentals are within walking distance. And our property manager lives only 7 minutes away (ask him about his private boat tours). Enjoy the dolphins and pelicans who love the reef off our beach. Also, don't miss the Thursday Farmers Market that is open Oct-Apr in Englewood on Deerborn street. 10am-2pm.
The Surf Cottage is perfect for peaceful getaways in a warm, cozy setting.
This cozy, rustic cottage was as described in the listing. Property manager was quick to respond to questions. Cottage was clean, beds were comfortable. Loved the screened porch, which offered beautiful views of the gulf. Perfect location, quiet, but close to many restaurants and grocery market. Cottage is steps from beautiful, private beach. Enjoyed morning walks, gorgeous sunsets, shelling and searching for sharks teeth. Would definitely return for another stay.
Interior of cottage totally misrepresented. Outside area was no bargain either. Although we viewed it prior to it being cleaned it was rough. Rusted fridge, broken cabinets , ancient furnishings, terrible patio. Peppy ( property manager) did text us mid morning to tell us the AC had frozen up and it was not habitable. This could have easily occurred during our stay, which we NEVER would have paid for anyway. Luckily we were relocated to a cottage next door (#3) which was excellent. VRBO was in for a battle if we were not so fortunate. What could have been a horrendous experience turned out well. Buyer r beware! Nod to Matt and Anna, owners of #3 who we met on our stay. That’s the way it should be done.
