When the Buffalo Nickel owners remodeled the property, they discovered old copies of the Indianapolis Star Newspaper used as insulation. The age of the newspapers prompted further research of the property, and they found that one of the earliest residents was a woman whose father settled in Brown County around the turn of the century. They discovered the woman's most prized possessions were two small nickels her father made upon first settling. The woman shared this story with her local pape

Stayed Aug 31, 2025We loved the little place. No issues with property at all. Conveniently located. We got there way too early and the host was very gracious! It is a perfect place for two. Small children would be fine, but the sofa bed is not meant for adults. If you are a fan of downtown Nashville, Indiana, it is perfect.

Stayed May 9, 2025We stayed at the property in coming in for our daughter's graduation from IU. It is very well maintained in a great location in Nashville. We would stay there again . The only thing that I would note is that it's really best for 2 people. The sofa bed in the living room is not suitable for 2 people unless small children. We had our younger son stay one of the nights.

Stayed May 1, 2025The pictures are exactly how it was! Perfect for a weekend get away. Cute place and Clean!! We were able to walk everywhere which is so nice. Even walked to Hard Truth Distillery. It’s a little distance but if your walkers not bad at all. Definitely recommend staying here. Hot tub was nice also!

Stayed Feb 21, 2025It was the perfect location to walk to shops and restaurants. But was also a super quick drive to the state park. Cottage was cozy and inviting. We enjoyed the amenities and decor.

Stayed Oct 20, 2024Cute little place! Perfect for a couples getaway. Very convenient location, right on the edge of town. Comfortable and beautiful all around!! Only complaints; a bit hard to find, I think it's listed wrong on Google maps. And the dishes were dirty, Smudges of grease or something on all the bowls/plates and some pots.

I’ve already sent this spot to many of our friends & family as the perfect little weekend or week get away!! Thank you so much!! We will be booking this spot a lot over the next few years!!
