Private Hot Tub: Riverfront Escape in Shawano

Consider labeling light switches and providing tissues and maybe bathroom night lights

Was a very nice property...very homey, and had a beautiful riverside location. We were in for a family event, so we didn't use the water sport equipment available, but the kayaks looked inviting. Almost everything we needed was available. Cups, glasses, well equipped kitchen, towels, washer and dryer avail. Communication with the owners was proactive and helpful to checkin. Place was clean and we tried to keep it that way. If there was any down side, there was only one full bath and a half bath, but we knew this, so not a surprise, but we had seven people, and the house can sleep more than that, but may be a little challenging sharing the bathroom with more than we had staying. Overall, a very nice, scenic place to stay, and not far from town (Shawano) if that is desired...

Beautiful home and property. Next time I visit that area I'd love to stay here again.

We rented the house to be close to family while we attended a wedding. The location was beautiful! The only downsides were as follows: no iron or ironing board, no sugar for coffee, very little coffee and no tea bags, LOTS of flies in the house and I vaccumed them up every day. I am basing this on what would have been available if we would have stayed in a hotel.

Open concept up stairs with large kitchen table to gather around was so nice. All the beds in the 4 bedrooms downstairs were very comfy.

We had the most perfect time. Literally the best rental of our lives. The space was clean and full of everything we could want the river was amazing. The owners checked in and were above and beyond helpful without being overbearing. Already looking forward to going again.

This riverfront cabin was just right for our family of six. Modern rustic appeal and very well-furnished kitchen. There were plenty of comfy beds for our crew. Kids had fun using the kayaks and rowboat for many hours on the river. Two outdoor grills, screened porch, and bags game, all in a private secluded spot along the river. My only suggestion is to put some steps along the steep grade down to the river. It’s a bit slippery! All-in-all a wonderful four days spent in a peaceful, comfortable and clean location. Close to Shawano Lake that has an excellent boat launch area, sand bars, and plenty of open water to tube/waterski.

House and property was great. Plenty to do. Cornhole, kyakimg, swimming, campfire, played cards and enjoyed the phonograph. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and grilling. Comfy beds with plenty of extra blankets and pillows for those who needed it. Would definitely recommend and we plan to return ?
